Review of: Private Tour
We had three great days of tours with OVERLORD TOURS. The first day we focused on the American sections, the American cemetery and point de hoc. The second day we did a half day private tour in a WWII vehicle that focused on the paratroopers and their landing sites. It was so cool! The third day we went to Mont St Michel, and although it was not a WWII site, we had an amazing time and our guide was very knowledgeable! We could have gone there on our own but it was so much more enjoyable with our guide. Mikal and Therri were both amazing guides and we were so happy to have them showing us around Normandy.

Unbelievably cool! Best tour I've ever done, not even close. Our guide, Yannick, was born for this. The invasion came alive for us as he drove us around taking us to places that you would never find on your own. SPEND THE MONEY! You will thanks me later!

Great tour. Yannick our tour leader is a real Normandy history buff and is very passionate to share what happened on D-Day and it’s aftermath. Highly recommend!

A truly immersive experience, led by a highly knowledgeable tour guide. We had some real history buffs on our tour and the guide was able to expand their already substantial knowledge. Conversely, when he didn't know the answer to a question, he was honest, which I truly appreciated. The tour was in an air conditioned Mercedes Benz van, which was very clean and comfortable. We visited multiple sites that appeared to be only accessible to this tour operator. It was about 9 hours long, so a long day, but we came away with a pretty good understanding of Operation Overlord. The men (and women) that served in Normandy and in WW II are respected in France, as they should be. Without the collective sacrifice of that generation, the world would be a far worse place. The focus is on the Allied part of the operation, but there is a significant amount German knowledge that will be imparted as well. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it. You will see and visit places you might otherwise not have access to.

My wife and I traveled to Bayeux in July 2022 to retrace my father's World War 2 military experience. He served with the 9th Air Force and landed near Utah Beach. We decided to engage Overlord Tours to visit a number of the Normandy Beaches (including Utah Beach), the American Cemetery in Colleville-Sur-Mer, and the village of St. Mere Eglise, among other destinations. Thierry was our guide for this full-day tour. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable, very personable and provided us with location and related information to assist us in following my father's journey in this part of France. I cannot compliment Thierry and Overlord Tours sufficiently. He was an extraordinary guide who shaped a long and very full day into one that was very meaningful and enjoyable. We look forward to booking additional trips with Overlord Tours and hope to interact with Thierry and similarly professional guides in future months and years.
