We had a very informed, attentive tour guide who brought pictures to complement his verbal talk. So knowledgeable and hospitable. He made Normandy come alive and I learned things I'd never heard before. He also allowed time for us to silently walk and reflect at...More

My husband and I were part of a private 8-person tour of the American sector and D-Day Beaches booked with Overlord Tours with Mickael as our guide. He was excellent and knew the American history of that infamous day very well, even though he was...More

My husband and I did a semi-private (accompanied by three other visitors) full-day tour with Jordan two weeks ago. It was wonderful. Jordan speaks excellent English, answered everyone's questions at all stops, presented the history in an easily understandable and interesting way. He took us...More

Battlebus vs OverlordTour Normandy Tours (28 Replies)
We are deciding which tour company to use. I've read the reviews & both companies have excellent reviews. We were hoping to book with Battlebus. However, when we contacted them they said they are reducing their tour schedue in 2011 & the new information will be posted on their website on Nov 1. So we decided to take a closer look at Overlord. I noticed some differences between the 2 companies. Overlord allows an hour & 45 minutes for lunch while Battlebus has a lunch stop &...More

I recently returned to the Philadelphia area from a trip to Normandy. While in Bayeux, I took the full day American beaches tour with Overlordtour. Owner Allain was a terrific guide and his passion for the subject made it a memorable day. He has books with maps, and photos from 1944 which match tour sites. I was fully satisfied and highly recommend.
