The museum guard/guide named Christine is certainly the most enthusiastic person I have ever met! She will tell you all about the museum and the artefacts on display. Free for ex military and police officers. Worth the visit!

I visited this museum on a weekend trip to Lille with a friend. It was superb. There was an extremely knowledgeble English speaking guide. He answered all questions on the arms on display and put it all into historical context. He was really enthusiastic. I really recommend that you visit. It's only a ten minute walk from Lille station. I visited the museum on a Friday afternoon and they opened promptly at 15h, I was greeted inside by a very friendly man who spoke decent English and he gave me a quick overview of the exhibits in this tiny museum. He also handed me an interesting pamphlet with good information about the items on display and overall, this was... More

We arrived at 3pm, having emailed ahead to check if it was open at the time we visited, and having been told it was, found it all locked up and no notice on the gates to indicate why. This is the third time this has happened for members of our party, and I feel it is very unsatisfactory

I was in Lille with my Father for the Christmas Market which was a bit of a let down and too crowded so we walked out of the centre to this museum, which isn't too far and easy to find, and we loved it! We were shown around by a Gentleman who gave us a tour in French (of which... More

This is a marvelous small museum. I was the only one there the day I went and received a personal tour and explanation of everything. The museum contains, I was told, the only two remaining cannons from Napoleons army. A wonderful place to spend an hour or so!
