This is a small zoo but delightful. All the animals are kept in large paddocks and the park is kept clean with flowered borders and hedges. The zoo has a free entrance and there is a café at the entrance. Very relaxing.

Set in an extensive park in the centre of Lille this is a good place to relax. An old style zoo rather than a safari park it is easy to walk around with plenty of places to stop and rest, or even have a picnic as I did with my son. Free to enter you have nothing to spend on... More

Was closed on the day we tried to visit, despite checking website on the day. Lots of other disappointed people as well. A long way to go from our hotel to find out it was closed. Very disappointed children.

It's next to the Citadel, so if you went there for a walk, it's worth stopping at the Zoo. It's free, it's small, it's clean and it's a fun visit.

Found this by accident whilst strolling around Lille on a lazy Sunday am. Very relaxed atmosphere, very well looked after and above all free! Not the biggest zoo but a useful way of spending a couple of free hours,

This zoo was a bit random but it's very well kept and it's free! Has a really diverse range of animals - the red panda is a must-see! Would recommend, especially on a sunny afternoon. It's not just for the kids.

I love a zoo whenever I go somewhere as I know it will be a good way to pass the time. Lille zoo is, I would say, small to medium sized and doesn't have big attractions like tigers or elephants but it is good considering there is no entrance charge. It is also very central in Lille with plenty of... More

The zoo is on the small side but they did a really good job making the most of it. Highly recommended if you have a bit of time around the Citadel

The zoo is a short walk from the city centre. It is free - wow! It is next to a children's fairground in which the rides are not free. It has some well-designed enclosures, with a variety of animals and birds. You walk round on good paths and can do the whole zoo in 1-2 hours. It's lovely to see... More
