With the great public bus service in Dunkirk being free its an excellent way to get to the zoo. Get off No C2 bus in the direction of Grande Synthe at Triangle and follow the signs. We paid E4 each and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are approximately 250 animals and a great petting zoo for the little ones. There were 2 big groups of school children there having a great time. All the trails are handicapped accessible. The zoo takes part in the European Breeding Programs, it's a good family outing in a nice setting at a very reasonable price.

Fun place for a day out with the kids. Loved the animals and the posibility to play and touch the domestic ones. They have plenty animals and reduced fees in some weekends. We paid only 1,5 euros instead of 4euros each.

It's a cross between a zoo and petting farm. It feels a bit of a mix and match, but there is a good selection of different wild and domesticated animals. Children as well as adults will be entertained by the storks, otters, seals among other things, also watch out for the goats which seem to like to eat your clothing when in close proximity. While it is a small zoo, it was very enjoyable time by all and to keep Dad happy the entry fee was very reasonable €9 for the family (Sunday). It's cheaper on Sundays and free at Saints' days but even the normal prices are good value for money.

This charming little zoo, tucked away in a residential area, is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours if you're in the area. Everything is immaculately presented, the staff are kind and welcoming and the animals are obviously very well cared for. The entry price is ridiculously cheap, the parking is free, and the coffee machine only charges €0.50. It's almost unheard of nowadays to find a family attraction that doesn't try to rip you off.

We had a lovely time stroking the friendly goats, pigs and a young donkey. It was also delightful to be able to get so close to the otters and the magnificent lynxes.

We combined our visit to this zoo with a 2 day ticket to Plopsaland theme park and its adjoining water park Plopsaqua (a very short drive away from Dunkirk, just over the Belgian border) to create our own mini break. The whole thing, including the cost of hotel and ferry, was cheaper than staying in the UK for a comparable break.

We visited this little zoo as we had a couple of hours to spare before boarding our ferry home. It cost us €17 for 3 adults and 4 children.
The sea lions, flamingos, lynx and otters were great and kept the kids more than entertained.
They went crazy for the goats that you can brush and feed hay too, even though the goats seemed more interested in eating their guests clothes!!!
The main attraction for everyone was the 2 amazing brown bears, they were an 9absolute delight.
All animals had fairly large enclosures and the animals were clean and appeared happy enough.
The gift shop was very reasonably priced, tshirts €7.20, teddys in hoodies saying name of place €12 are just some examples. I
Would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting for the day.

Don’t be put off by the fact that this is a small zoo. We found it to be a wonderful place to visit for the 10€ price for a family 2 adults and 2 children (aged 14 and 12) an absolute bargain.

As others have said, the animals have a lot of space and the zoo is clean and looks well maintained. There are areas to eat picnics and although there is no restaurant/cafe, there are vending machines for drinks and snacks - the hot drink machine was very reasonably priced and 0.50 € for drinks.

We took plenty of time to go round and you could even go round more than once if you feel you haven’t had enough time to look at the animals.

Our kids found than one of the best things was that you could brush the Pygmy Goats and had a fantastic time.

Would thoroughly recommend this zoo to anyone with about an hour or so spare.

We visited France on a day trip and decided to visit Dunkirk. It was a windy day and was cold on the beach so after a quick walk we searched for something else to do. We found this little zoo and for €4 each we thought we'd give it a go. I couldn't believe our luck when we got there. Yes it is small and isn't a whole day experience, but for the price it is just fabulous! There were a range of animal enclosures on a well laid out route with clear signs. The animals were in clean areas which were very roomy. There were also two walk through areas which really added to the experience. There were seals, birds, flamingos, owls, lynx, anteater, reindeer to name a few and two fantastic brown bears! We walked around again and saw more that we didn't see beforehand. If you are in the area, I would recommend! It feels like it's in the middle of residential housing but follow signs and you'll get there.
