VISIT OUR WEBSITE for a full list of our tours! Explore Toulouse's largest covered market with a certified French Wine Scholar and ex-cheesemonger. I'm a native English speaker that has learned the secrets of French market shopping in my adopted hometown so that I can share them with you. On this tour, you'll get a taste of local life in Toulouse as you discover local wines and cheeses, learn how to spot a good baguette, sample unique local specialties, and encounter passionate local artisans and businesses. Afterwards, you'll get a detailed email recap, as well as other personalized resources and recommendations so that you can continue your own gourmet adventures! We'll be eating on our feet, as there is NO SEATING in the market - so wear comfortable clothing and shoes and be prepared to stand/walk the whole time. Please alert me at least 24 hours in advance if you have food allergies or don't drink alcohol.

Very pretty display of all the products and an interesting historically dated display on the interior walls of the purple barge. Chocolates with violets were tasty and the lady serving us very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth dropping in/stepping onto this barge!

The area is popular for its violets products, and in this place, a beautiful boat, you will find many. Prices are a little high but products are unique, prices are pretty much the same all over the stores I saw, but here, the owner of the place gives you very good service. Recomended!

The lady that owns the boat was very friendly and willing to speak English. She also kindly served us tea and sorbet despite how busy it was. I highly recommend.

Everything you want done from or around the violet is there! I loved the soaps and the little bags to put in my drawers, but also the honey and there are a lot of nice items to buy as gifts. The owner is very nice, welcoming, and indeed not pushy at all. Worth the visit! The boat is just a few minutes away from the Matabiau station.

Don't miss this unique specialty shop built on a barge in Toulouse France. The little ship sells everything Violet! There are gorgeous quilts, teas, oils, perfumes, posters, dishes, candies, cookies, jellies, honey, jewelry etc. the barge itself is decorated in violet and smells great. They even gift wrap. It's a fun place to buy a lovely souvenir of France.
