The area is popular for its violets products, and in this place, a beautiful boat, you will find many.
Prices are a little high but products are unique, prices are pretty much the same all over the stores I saw, but here, the owner of the place gives you very good service.
Recomended!

Don't miss this unique specialty shop built on a barge in Toulouse France. The little ship sells everything Violet! There are gorgeous quilts, teas, oils, perfumes, posters, dishes, candies, cookies, jellies, honey, jewelry etc. the barge itself is decorated in violet and smells great. They even gift wrap. It's a fun place to buy a lovely souvenir of France.

Considering its epaulets are lauded pink or rose, it came as a late surprise for me to learn that Toulouse's culture and cuisine has been transfused by the colour violet.
We stopped to sample some floral gourmet creations at this establishment and voila what an incredible space for a shop anchored on a barge in the Garonne River.
Surprise, surprise, there are 400 varieties of violets and our eyes were fixated by every form of cookie, candy, bon-bon, even vinegar and liqueur on display thay paid homage to the flower.
The femme rated the pale lavender meringues filled with syrup and violets taken in a cup of tea as heavenly, making her think of Alice down the hole. Delightful shop. Try to leave without hands festooned with bags of goodies.

I would highly recommend this store. The staff are wonderful - they really know how to give great customer service without being pushy and what a selection of violet stuff. When we arrrived , they let us taste the tea and the candy made out of violet. The prices are okay and it is really close to train station so great place to pick up souvenirs while waiting for the train. Last but not least, as we came to Toulouse on a Sunday we were not sure what restaurants are open and near train station. We asked for their recommendation and they actually called the restaurant they recommended, which was really good for us and gave us geat directions to get there. That was probably the nicest service I've had in France in a long time.

Very pretty display of all the products and an interesting historically dated display on the interior walls of the purple barge. Chocolates with violets were tasty and the lady serving us very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth dropping in/stepping onto this barge!

The lady that owns the boat was very friendly and willing to speak English. She also kindly served us tea and sorbet despite how busy it was.
I highly recommend.

Everything you want done from or around the violet is there! I loved the soaps and the little bags to put in my drawers, but also the honey and there are a lot of nice items to buy as gifts. The owner is very nice, welcoming, and indeed not pushy at all. Worth the visit!
The boat is just a few minutes away from the Matabiau station.

Kind of interesting, proprietor didn't speak English, so everything had to be interpreted, I'd skip!

In orchid pants and a purple scarf, the owner will passionately share with patrons the story of the return of the violet to Toulouse. There are many products from violet jelly , candy, tea as well as tea towels and violet candles.
