Don't believe the internet which tells you this is open.

What a shame: we strolled across the Pond Neuf, hoping to wander round the advertised gallery in this old water tower; only to find it is closed for the setting up of a new exhibition, until the end of March. Why the tourist information and / or website could not announce this fact I don't know.

Nice little Tower
Jul 2019 • Couples
We were wondering what that was from across the bridge, and found out it's a water tower. It has a unique design, and very pretty.

Lovely to look at

Impressive water tower to look at. Currently closed as they are installing the new exhibition. Meanwhile marvel at the structure itself.

The old water pumping station for the town
Apr 2018 • Friends
It is now a museum but you can see a lot of the interior mechanism that used to lift water and distribute to the different quarters of the town. Quite an engineering feat.

Fascinating 19th century French waterworks now photography museum
Apr 2018 • Solo
The photography museum at the Chateau d'Eau is worth a visit, but the building itself and the history are even more interesting.

Not impressed with the exhibit
Nov 2017 • Couples
Me and my partner visited this exhibit during our weekend in Toulouse, I was not very impressed with it if i'm honest but it is subjective to your own personnal taste. I was more interested in the old water towers works on the lower floor. The artwork was a little strange but as i said it is a subjective depending on taste.

This is a beautiful gallery of photos.

Chateau d'Eau was created by the photographer Jean Dieuzaide and because of the quality of the gallery, has continued to this day. The neighborhood is very nice.

Water tower gallery
Oct 2017 • Solo
Old water tower just off the banks of the Garonne. Now converted into a gallery of sorts. They had a photo exhibit by Dupuy going. Free entrance.
Photos exhibited along the circular walls of the tower. Downstairs space as well. Here you could see the preserved water wheel.
There was a music event going on on the outside grounds with alcohol and bites on sale.

Photography gallery
Aug 2017 • Couples
A former water tower, it now houses a photography gallery since the 1970's. Some of the original mechanisms are visible through the glass floor and there is a very narrow staircase leading to the lower level.

Chateau St Martin d'Oydes

A lovely grand Chateau which is perfect for a get together with friends or family. 12th Century so steeped in history. About an hour from Toulouse airport. Self catering but shops 10 minutes drive away. There is service provided for delivery of croissants and rolls for breakfast and there is also a pantry next to the kitchen to stock up for the holiday. Lovely grounds and a spectacular property. Has been visited by Lords Ladies and even a certain Prime Minister of ours. Well worth a visit.
