Agree with the previous reviewer, don't let the security put you off visiting this gem (we almost skipped it completely because the first time we approached, we were turned away by them and told to come back later at 2pm, and when we did come back after, they asked to search our bags, which was a real hassle). It won't... More

Don't be put off by the security presence at together entrance (next to the tourist office and around the back of the square). They are just there to check bags. Walk through the walled entrance and turn right through the glass doors and enter another world. The frescoes on the ceilings and walls are beautiful.

A terrific place. Surrounded by classy bars and restaurants but not overpriced. Stylish and imposing , it is a lovely place to walk around. We went on a Sunday morning in Autumn sunshine and it was lovely. However, don't go when theToulouse Marathon is being run( we didn't know beforehand), as it gets far too busy and noisy.

The square was under construction but must be fabulous when normal. We stayed at a great hotel Balicin just steps away with easy parking under the square.

A visit to Place du Capitole is an absolute must for any Toulouse visitor. The square is dominated by the impressive brick and marble town hall. You can go inside for free. It’s worth it just to look at the friezes and paintings. Thankfully, the powers that be have ensured that the corporate logos of all the retail outlets on... More

It takes you 15 minutes to enjoy this intetesting place. And maybe you spend majority of them in the Salle Henri-Martin apreciating his style of painting like me.
