VISIT OUR WEBSITE for a full list of our tours! Explore Toulouse's largest covered market with a certified French Wine Scholar and ex-cheesemonger. I'm a native English speaker that has learned the secrets of French market shopping in my adopted hometown so that I can share them with you. On this tour, you'll get a taste of local life in Toulouse as you discover local wines and cheeses, learn how to spot a good baguette, sample unique local specialties, and encounter passionate local artisans and businesses. Afterwards, you'll get a detailed email recap, as well as other personalized resources and recommendations so that you can continue your own gourmet adventures! We'll be eating on our feet, as there is NO SEATING in the market - so wear comfortable clothing and shoes and be prepared to stand/walk the whole time. Please alert me at least 24 hours in advance if you have food allergies or don't drink alcohol.

I have gone on both the Marche Victor Hugo tour and the Chocolate and Pastry tour. Both were great. The Marche Victor Hugo was a fantastic way to experience a french market. Not only did we learn great things about the food and vendors, but we also got to taste a wide variety of foods. We tried meats, wine, and baguette/pastries. But my favorite was the cheeses! The tour was great, and now I feel more confident shopping on my own. The chocolate and pastry tour was divine! We tasted so many delightful goodies, including a cake unique to the area, which is now one of my new favorites! The tours were great and best of all Jessica sends an email with a list of all the shops we visited and what we ate. Definitely book a tour - Grab your friend, a water bottle, and your walking shoes - and get ready for a wonderful time.

Jessica’s market tour is jam-packed with interesting anecdotes, and delicious food and drink. If you’re looking for a way to delve deeper into French culture on your visit to Toulouse, there’s simply no better way to do so than by gallivanting through a typical French market with Jessica’s smooth expertise and savior-faire to guide you along the way. Just by being along for the ride, you’ll feel as though you’re truly living the life of a local as you socialize and chat with different market vendors and joyfully gather all the staples for a gorgeous bite to eat just after the tour. I took this tour in late July 2020, and all safety measures regarding COVID-19 are taken into account very well (masks, social distancing, lots of hand sanitizer) without dampening the overall authenticity of the tour and experience itself. Bravo Jessica and Taste of Toulouse!

I did the French cheese 101 online workshop with Jessica and it was fabulous. Really interesting and useful/practical information, just the right amount level and detail wise, and useful that it’s flexible in terms of location and how much tasting you want to do. Great value and great fun - highly recommend! I will try other offerings by Jessica.

I've done several actual tours with Jessica and enjoyed all of them. This time I did the virtual cheese tasting 101 and how to build a cheese board. Both of them were terrific. I have now created some incredible cheese plates and I have the confidence to know what types of cheeses to ask for and also how to showcase them for visitors.
