This is a great square to visit with children. It is surrounded by lovely cafes and has a pretty fountain. There is a fantastic old carousel (even with an upstairs) which is certainly worth taking children to. Definitely buy the cheaper 6 ride ticket as children will want more than one turn!

This is one of the main focal points of the city. Lots of bars, restaurants and hotel in a circular road surrounding the garden and statues. Busy taxi point

This is a small park in the middle of town. There is a carousel and a small fountain. There were quite a few people there. Plenty of ice cream shops around.

We sat in the park and really enjoyed just relaxing there. The fountain is really pretty and there are a few nice cafes and restaurants around to choose from.

I wouldn’t call Toulouse dog friendly and this is a perfect example. They had a little patch of dirt designates for dogs. Gross. Other French cities do a much better job with municipal landscaping in center city areas.

We enjoyed this square, being the school holidays, there was the merry go round available which was fun for both adults and kids. It was an enjoyable family visit.

This graceful red terra-cotta brick square was designed by architect Jacques-Pascal Virebent in 1788, but due to war, revolution and economical cuts was not fully completed until 1834. Unfortunately, the decorations planned by the architect for the top of these buildings were never installed due to the cities cost cutting.
Today the square is called Place du President Thomas Wilson, after Americas 28th President Thomas Woodrow Wilson, who was a great ally to France during the first World War (1914-18).
It is nice to stroll around the square looking at the shops and checking out the restaurants, at night it is a very popular place for students with lots of nightlife.
In the center of the square is the Pierre Goudouli Park named after a famous local Poet.
The Park has many different types of trees including a red oak from America,
which overlooks the 1908 Pierre Goudouli fountain, next to the merry-go-round, decorated with photographs of the city. There are other sculptors to various poets scattered around the park worth looking at.

TIP: There are two metro stations nearby, metro station Capitole is in Charles de Gaulle square, and metro station Jean Jaures is in the middle of the Blvd Zazare Carnot.

A perfect circular place, surounded by old red brick buildings. A lot of shops around, restaurants with terraces...a extremely busy and joyful place...especially during a nice sunny Saturday...

It's a beautiful round square, but very, very poorly frequented, a strange fauna. But look at the beautiful buildings in a circular shape and go elsewhere
