Our trip to Paris was an absolute success thanks to Join us in France. The podcast is sooooooo informative that it allowed me to know what to expect and this way avoid any kind of issue. I was well prepared by listening to practically all the episodes some even twice Haha. The facebook group helped a lot too with very specific questions and I have to thank my fellow members for all of their advice as well. Dear Annie, my trip would not have been as fantastic as it was if it wasn't for you and your hard work. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting so much effort for us. Even my husband was surprised with how informed I was and how much knowledgeable I was about everything from the actual history,to the museums, the culture, the language etc. We had the most amazing honeymoon in the world!!! You are the best and your podcast is by far a true gem

My 20 y/o son and I joined Annie for a day tour of Versailles. Annie handled all the logistics for us. She went above and beyond in making our day fun and informative and we eked out every last bit of our day together (and ended up being there up until closing). Annie provided a great mix of history and personality that made spending the day together priceless!

We joined Annie’s group for a Trip to Versailles and a concert that evening at Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and the being with the group. Annie had done all the hard work of planning our day, buying our tickets in advance and arranging our transportation. Being on the tour, we accomplished much more than we could have on our own. Since Annie is a French woman who has also lived in the US and the UK, she has a unique perspective that allows her to relate to our thinking and convert that into a better understanding of France. I also enjoy her podcasts which have helped in so many ways to learn more about France’s history, culture and customs. That information Aldo directly helped in our trip planning. I would highly recommend tours by Addicted to France

If you want to see the Greatest Hits of Paris without feeling overwhelmed with planning or travel fatigue and with a wonderful sense of ease and camaraderie, Addicted to France is the way to go. We discovered Addicted to France through being fans of the Join Us in France podcast, which tour hosts Annie and Elyse produce every week. While the podcast itself a wonderful primer on traveling in France with lots of practical and fun information for planning your own vacation, we were thrilled to learn Annie and Elyse were going to lead a curated tour that lined up perfectly with our October travel dates. And while it turned out we were the only ones who signed up for the October tour and as a result Elyse would not be joining the tour, we felt spoiled rotten and very lucky indeed to have Annie all to ourselves! We were hoping for a trip of a lifetime and somehow Annie managed to exceed those lofty expectations. So, what made this tour so great? For one thing, we got that perfect balance between seeing a lot without ever feeling rushed. In one week, we saw and did all of the following: Jardin Luxembourg Boat tour on the Seine Notre-Dame Cathedral Place de la Concorde Champs-Élysées L’Orangerie Jardin des Tuilleries Opéra Garnier Galleries Lafayettes Eiffel Tower Tour Montparnasse Musée d’Orsay Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis Church The Louvre Sacré-Cœur Versailles Place des Vosges Sainte Chappelle (featuring a performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons) Musée Rodin Musée Cluny And that’s not to mention strolls through Île de la Cité, Île St. Louis, Montmartre, and Le Marais. Yet even though we packed in all this sight-seeing, we never once felt like we were in a hurry or overwhelmed from over-programming. It always seemed that the second our feet started to hurt, we had arrived at our place or at a restaurant for a glass of wine and a memorable meal. Speaking of the food, Annie knows some great, out-of-the-way restaurants. Each of the restaurants to which Annie took us had excellent food, local atmosphere, and reasonable prices. They say it’s hard to find a bad meal in Paris, but when we were left to our own devices at the end of the day, we managed to find a few. You won’t go wrong with Annie’s picks. Annie is also full of wonderful stories that put the sights into context. Whether she was relaying the juicy details of the of the Impressionism scene at Musée d’Orsay, the near revolutionary destruction and literary salvation of Notre-Dame Cathedral, the legend of the pistol-wielding boy in Liberty Leading the People at the Louvre, or the tale of Garou Garou in Montmartre, Annie made it all come alive and made the details of our tour all the more memorable. As great as Annie was at hosting us, she also made the arrangements for us to take some great tours. Thanks to Annie’s planning, we saw the King’s apartments at Versailles, took a boat tour on the Seine, got a guided visit at the opulent Opéra Garnier, watched a classical sextet perform Vivaldi’s Four Season against the beautiful stain-glass backdrop of Sainte-Chappelle, and had a highly educational and fun wine tasting. Annie’s planning saved us time, often allowed us to cut the line, and gave our experience an added dimension to appreciate. Annie also took care of the Métro passes and museum passes in advance of our arrival, removing one more worry from our planning. Speaking of removing worries, one of the great, value-added benefits of touring with Annie is her excellent photography! Annie is a professional with equipment and expertise we and our iPhones do not possess. While it can be fun to take your own vacation photos, Annie’s shots came out better than we could have done. After the trip, she sent us the pics, carefully organized by date and labeled with helpful captions to help us remember details we would have forgotten. And because we weren’t taking the photos, we’re actually in them! But the greatest reason we can recommend Addicted to France is Annie herself. From the first “bonjour” to the last “au revoir,” Annie was warm, open, gregarious, enthusiastic, and caring in a way that made us feel less like we were on a tour with a guide and more like we were sight-seeing with a knowledgeable friend. No question was too dumb; no off-the-itinerary request was too arduous; as a result, no day was too long. We could not have asked for a more considerate host. Thank you, Annie and Addicted to France for going above and beyond to make our week in Paris even easier, more fun, and more memorable than we could have imagined.
