the birds are with chains on both legs, when they advance one leg the chain hits the other, as a result they immediately jump back onto the perch. If I remember correctly, in the show they say that it is a “mastered” method. Oh yes! the flight spectacle is very beautiful and the birds are right in front of you without glass or mesh, you could almost touch them! but when we see a vulture whipping its legs with a chain every time it attempts to take a step.....

An incredible show of magnificent birds I loved the parrot part where he puts them on our arms a very good explanation. The big problem is that they make the vultures walk on the children and my little brother has a very big scratch on the back. Really I don't see the madness. Don't take your children if you're going to get hurt by being stepped on!!

If the show is worth a visit, the living conditions of the animals are deplorable.
Simple tiny cages, no greenery, no place, no grass, nothing at all, and very dirty.
They're more like prison cells.
And for birds that are "lucky" not to live in these cages, they are attached to a chain of about 80cm.
They are all on tree trunks, in full view of the public, but without being able to travel more than a meter around their trunks.
I am shocked by what I saw, I bitterly regret having given 11€ to this park.
If you care about animal welfare, go your way without regret.

Very small park. The captive conditions of the raptors are shocking. Vultures are attached to chains of just 80 cm and cannot move. The employees explain this because they are ancestral methods ... it does not justify attaching birds to chains like this.
The show is good it involves children

What a shame to see these raptors attached to chains!!
Yes they let them fly to stretch their wings, as they say!
But it’s sad!
A dog started barking at them and one of the raptors panicked, given the chains we had pity to see him struggling!!
The show is not fabulous either.
Parrots who pass from one healer to another.
Raptors like that!
The tour is quick if you do not attend the show!
Too bad.
I think the healers put all their heart into it, but it’s sad!

It is more of an animation/presentation than a big bird show.
Too long, demonstrations do not follow one another. Falconers look passionate despite everything and the spot is beautiful with its view of the valley.
Uncomfortable seating, not enough seats for everyone. It's better to go in the morning so you don't end up in the middle of the summer.

We arrived during noon thinking lunch on site since the site and the prospectus announce a non-stop opening all day and we found a closed door. After insisting we were finally able to return but the staff was very unpleasant.
Then the living conditions of these poor animals made me regret paying for it. The cages are small, dirty the park gives the Impression of being abandoned or at least very little maintained.
As for the show... it is long and very uninteresting. Trainers give the Impression of being inexperienced rather than anything else. Having seen several falconry shows, the quality here is not at the rendezvous. In short if you switch to rocamadour do not spend your agent here. The monkey forest is more interesting clean and staff at the top.

Shocking to see all the birds in small cages or tied with chains. Why not create large aviaries?
Fortunately the show allowed us to see them flying in complete freedom!
Entrance price too expensive.

This centre claims to be a centre for bird of prey conservation - it is nothing more than a money making tourist attraction.

As a bird of prey enthusiast & conservationist of 20 years experience I was looking forward to visiting this centre during a holiday to France but was appalled at my experience.

To the untrained eye the displays are entertaining and there is no doubt that it is wonderful to see Griffon Vultures flying free over the gorge. The rhetoric of the presenters assured the large crowd that this was a centre for conservation.

However, look at little closer and you will see the birds are in poor condition and worked hard. The Lanner was possibly the slowest falcon I have ever seen and when the bird was mobbed by a black kite and fell into the trees on the cliff edge with long jesses trailing it was ignored, with no noticable response from anyone.

I was also appalled to see one of the falconers lifting vultures up by their necks to get them up to perches - is this acceptable practice?

To cap it all off, they were paranoid about video cameras and after being constantly watched by what felt like the 'secret police' I was approached twice while I tried to film some of the birds, and then told I could not film the owl display. As an enthusiast, this left me disappointed but also highly intimidated. A very unpleasant experience.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!

We are birds of prey enthusiasts and were appalled by the way these birds are grown and treated, like circus animals. In this day and age treatment of wild birds in this way is unacceptable and should be banned. Birds, like other animals, are not circus animals and should be treated properly. We were left speechless and disgusted. What a shame.
