Wonderful display of birds of prey and also parrots, which were great fun to watch. Amazing venue but the shade is limited and if you are out in the sun the display lasts for about an hour and you will need to be careful if the sun . Do try to park in one of the many car parks near the bird centre as the road up is narrow and usy with cars so no fun to walk along

A good value for money attraction, but we did have discount vouchers (ask at your accommodation). Plenty of time to view the birds in their enclosures and perching spots before an excellent show of free flying birds with a fair bit of audience participation.

Visited this bird parc in August with our three kids (3,6,8 yo). Throughout the day there are various bird shows (approx 1,5 hours long). Unfortunately the shows are only in French but can be understood quite well. Good value for money.

This centre claims to be a centre for bird of prey conservation - it is nothing more than a money making tourist attraction.
As a bird of prey enthusiast & conservationist of 20 years experience I was looking forward to visiting this centre during a holiday to France but was appalled at my experience.
To the untrained eye the displays are entertaining and there is no doubt that it is wonderful to see Griffon Vultures flying free over the gorge. The rhetoric of the presenters assured the large crowd that this was a centre for conservation.
However, look at little closer and you will see the birds are in poor condition and worked hard. The Lanner was possibly the slowest falcon I have ever seen and when the bird was mobbed by a black kite and fell into the trees on the cliff edge with long jesses trailing it was ignored, with no noticable response from anyone.
I was also appalled to see one of the falconers lifting vultures up by their necks to get them up to perches - is this acceptable practice?
To cap it all off, they were paranoid about video cameras and after being constantly watched by what felt like the 'secret police' I was approached twice while I tried to film some of the birds, and then told I could not film the owl display. As an enthusiast, this left me disappointed but also highly intimidated. A very unpleasant experience.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!

We are birds of prey enthusiasts and were appalled by the way these birds are grown and treated, like circus animals. In this day and age treatment of wild birds in this way is unacceptable and should be banned. Birds, like other animals, are not circus animals and should be treated properly. We were left speechless and disgusted. What a shame.

At first you see the birds on cages and some tied by their feet, but at the hourly show you see how they roam free and show off their hunting skills, from vultures to eagles to colorful parrots. This is a wonderful spectacle for kids and adults to see.

A most amazing and enjoyable display. We were initially concerned about the birds being captive. Then we saw the level of freedom they have and the flying time they have.
Loved every minute of it.

Good collect of birds of prey / owls in accessible enclosures all information about them clearly explained in French only..... an hour long display of birds in free flight some interaction with visitors.....But customer service very poor, around 20 English speaking visitors at the display who were isolated from the main group as the presenter of the display asked in French for visitors to move across the display area to another set of benches ...he then promptly turned his back on those who didn't move ....because they hadn't understood.....and conducted the whole presentation in FRENCH.......only person who appeared to speak English was the lady at the ticket desk who took your euros........difficult to walk to from car park if you have any mobility problems or are older.....visitors shop closed before second part of display completed around 5pm and attraction didn't close until 7 pm ........

The show is disapointing, (too) long, there are trees above the seats, therefore you don't really see the birds flying. The show is in French only.

Bonsoir, oui ils sont acceptés (il y en avait un petit lors de notre venue) mais pour les rapaces nocturnes (plus peureux) c est plus compliqué car ils voient les chiens et du coup peuvent ne pas vouloir sortir de leur cache
