I was there from 21-22 November on a solo trip. Being off season, it was not crowded at all and had the chance to go for the bath. The bath is available all year round. But be forewarned, you are required to be naked, wrapped in a towel praying in front of a statue of our Lady of Lourdes before... More

As part of a pilgrimage, my wife and I went to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Visiting the grounds was unforgettable, especially when we went to the candlelight vigils.

The Basilica is wonderful. The Grotto has something in it. It is difficult to describe but there is something around the place. I would recommend to avoid the shops nearby the entrance. Too expensive and nonsense stuff in it. We actually had great laugh in one of the shop as we saw for example: chopping board, Wobbly Jesus or Egg... More

There is a river running through it which had healing powers. There are different masses in different languages throughout the day. I did not go there... More

I only wish I could have spent more time at the shrine. It is large and has so much to offer the pilgrim. I would suggest that anyone wishing to be bathed to get in line early to avoid having the doors closed while you are in line.

It was an interesting experience coming to Lourdes on a pilgrimage. There were people from all over the world visiting this place, pilgrims and tourists alike. We went to church every day. The English mass is held in a building upstairs daily in the Crux Gloriosa Chapel, and the international mass is held every Wednesdays and Sundays in this huge... More

This is a very interesting place. You would need more than a day to experience and fulfill one spiritual desired. The information center is very helpful and provided guide for the sanctuary. Such as the way of the cross, the hour of procession every night. The sanctuary have more than three chapels, the basilica of immaculate Conception and the huge... More
