Good Candy
Oct 2018 • Couples
We visited this place expecting a bit more enthusiasm and interest. It has many kinds of filled candies, including many unique to France like Cassis and Mirabelle. But, there was no one to greet us or show us around. There was a sullen type person at the cash register and she had free samples of the candy. Disappointed, except in the candy!

Another hidden gem in this great town

A free self guided tour through the factory whilst employees are actually doing what the presentation explains the process? Sensational! Self paced, no rush and no pressure to buy from shop at end of tour after sampling free different types of almonds. Would of gladly paid for this very informative tour. Office de Tourisme should be pumping this as a Must Do! And delicious almond packs bought and eaten afterwards! Thank you.

Free visit of production
Aug 2015 • Couples
We did the factory tour August 4th. There is a free parking lot in front of the shop. The entrance to the tour is on the backside. After you get your audio guide you will go to the different numbered stages. At some stages you see workers during the production process. It takes 8 years to be an trained worker. In one of the rooms you see some one making the fuse for the bomb filled with dragees. At the end is a gift shop where you can purchase the dragees.

What an awesome stop in Verdun! We thought we were going to pick up a few candy-coated almonds....but ended up spending a little under an hour taking a factory tour, having samples and ultimately buying a few things. The tour is not compulsory and for sure you should not miss it. The owners/operators are extremely friendly and the tour technology is very well done.

Fabulous experience! And delicious treats, of course!!

Sweet surprise
May 2015 • Couples
Even during the weekend when the factory is not working, a visit to this sugared almond production is well worth while. Visitors are given headphones in their chosen language and stop at marked points around the production area where short videos are shown depicting what happens in each area. It is a painstaking process requiring years of training! The shop is Heaven on Earth to anyone with a sweet tooth.
