Ok, I am not knowledgeable about modern art and maybe I simply was unlucky but the place was strange. Huge and very good looking building (excellent location in terms of accessibility from city centre and from the train station) with lots of space inside but...More

Visited the centre on a rainy day in Metz , was really looking forward to it considering the world fame of the Centre Pompidou . There were 3 floors to visit of which only 1 (one!) was open for public . People at the reception...More

When there to see the roof and was impressed with its organic form and the quality of the natural lighting filtering the roof fabric. Unfortunately the attention to architectural details don’t flow though to the museum internal spaces.

When we were here, there was a mildly interesting Colours and Light exhibition on the first floor. But the Couples Modernes exhibition on the remaining floors was very interesting! Certainly worth a visit! Add to that the nice building, and the closeness to the city...More

The building is a sculpture in itself. The exhibitions were outstanding and they even had a lovely restaurant

It was so nice to be with my son in Pompidou. He like it very much, the architecture of the building. Contemporary art is interesting for the children. Video art and everything is so amazing. The admission is free for children!

Easy parking just around the corner. Dramatic and dynamic building of Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. Some of my favourites in the collection: Kahlo, Matisse, Arp, Eames and Aalto. Good bookshop if you speak the lingo.

The building is dramatic but reminds one of an ‘Asda’ supermarket. Fantastic to have so much art to see in Metz but perhaps too many exhibitions on at once? Four in all.

The best thing about the building is the wavy roof. I wasn't impressed by the interior which is quite boxy and difficult to find one's way around. I'm not a huge fan of modern art other than the very top artists but enjoyed the main...More
