By the time I came to the beaux arts I had already been to the porcelain musee, and it just wasn't quite as breathtaking. The front desk was very nice and very helpful. The exhibits were interesting especially the 1st floor with the progression of...More

We were greatly looking forward to this museum but were disappointed with the visit. It was free entry which was great so no complaints there. But for the size of it I expected more and the displays didn't show much relation to each other, it...More

This museum is located in the same courtyard as the Cathedrale St. Etienne. It has enamels from long ago to now. Interesting as it was with the tapestries in Limoges to see the changes in design as time goes by.

I am very fond of medieval enamel artworks from Limoges that are abundantly displayed in museums of Paris, New York, and elsewhere. So, reading that this museum devoted an entire floor to enamels, I added Limoges to my travel itinerary. Alas, most of the best...More
