Fascinating area to discover. Take the time to stop and look up, study the individual buildings and their facades. Look for the original meat hooks still evident, look near the rooves to see the tannery loft in each property. Be careful on the cobbles though...More

The old rue/street quarter of butchers' families' wooden and clayed housee, still standing today. A Unesco heritage site, in the small charming city of Limoges. The neighborhood is much more alive at night with the open bars/pubs, making it a must place to.visit with friends.

Interesting buildings surrounded by modern shopping a bit of a disappointment as there are so many old and interesting towns to visit. For train buffs the station is worth a visit sadly they were on strike when we did.

We have visited the Boucherie area several times before but a recent fire caused a lot of damage. This is now being repaired so best to avoid till another day.

Very beautiful!!! I felt like in my home town (Klaipeda in Lithuania), where we have same style of houses, but much less... Worth to hang around, meet people, stop for a drink.

Narrow lanes, with half-timbered houses on either side which are also home to some intriguing restaurants.

We were there in November and parking seemed to be a particular problem in the inner city. Not sure about outside the city as we stayed right in the centre in an hotel and travelled in by taxi from the airport.
