Excellent revamp of an old classic home, now a really great gallery/museum, focusing on art in & about Perpignan

Like most Perpignan places of interest, the museum is in a historic building in the heart of old town. The permanent collection is small but nice. There is a room for Picasso ceramics, something most people don't know about him. Picasso was fond of Perpignan...More

The gallery itself and its permanent displays are interesting and reasonably good. However, the temporary exhibition of Dufy's work when he lived in the area is excellent and well worth visiting. It offers a good understanding of his technique and the matters that influenced him....More

The first thing I would like to say is how friendly and helpful the staff were at this museum. They went out of their way to assist us even though our French is spotty at best. I'm an art history buff and I was really...More

Well worth visiting with great permanent collection and peaceful garden courtyard, the visiting exhibition of Dufy’s work while he lived in Perpignan in the 1940’s is superb.

For me, it is an unmissable museum in Perpignan. The permanent exhibition showcases local artists. I really liked the work of Hyacinthe Riguaud in the baroque part.

Stunning space. The current temporary exhibition of works by Jean and Jaques Capdeville is wonderful and the permanent exhibition showcases local artists from the gothic periods up until modern day. A highlight for me was the art collection of M Rey donated to the gallery...More
