Via Domitia was the Roman road joining Italy and Spain, uncovered in late 20th century. This fragment, located in the Town Hall square, among busy bars and restaurants, is a thrilling evidence of the ancient town thousands of years ago.

My wife and I encountered this attraction during our visit to Narbonne. It's the remains of a Roman road. We took only a few pictures.

This is just a preserved section of Roman road in the central square of Narbonne. Nice location with great view of the abbey and excellent place for people watching at any of the surrounding bars and cafes.

Highlights Importance of Narbonne in Roman times. Crossroads of 2 important Roman roads. Not a lot to see here, just a display in the middle of the town square, but good that it is preserved

Well displayed and accessible to all. In the centre of the main square, and a real sense of history.

Well placed in centre of Narbonne. Gives one a real sense of how Roman roads were made. Worth dropping by if in the area.
