Attention to detail, customer-focused, with expert knowledge of cycling and the region, all combined with a friendly demeanor make for a one-of-a-kind experience. Gerry and John took care of all the details of three days in Provence, handling everything from the hotel to bike rentals, and selecting routes perfect for my wife and I. We can't recommend them highly enough!

I did a 3-day breakaway tour in Uzès, France in the Languedoc region of France. Yes, yes, for cyclists Mont Ventoux gets all the attention, but if you want special rides in an area that few ever get to see, go to 445 Cycling. John and Gerry will show you their favorite (and secret) roads that are simply incredible. 445 Cycling can help set you up with a bike rental as they did for me. The cycling was amazing with lonely, challenging and beautiful roads. Uzès is perfect location to base yourself for great rides. This location provided me with some of the best rides of my life! John and Gerry took me to rolling vineyards, huge climbs (ask about Mont Bouquet) and some thrilling descents. Gerry and John are wonderful guides who take a personal interest making your experience great and unique. For us they recommended delicious dining and pointed out the amazing history in the area (Nîmes, Pont du Gard, and Avignon are very close). Uzès is a perfect cycling Mecca to feed your cycling needs, but also provides so much more. My wife doesn’t ride, but thoroughly enjoyed the shopping in Uzès. 445 Cycling arranged for her to have “the best spa experience” of her life…right in Uzès. She was incredibly pleased with her mornings while I was riding. In the afternoons we both explored Nîmes, enjoyed the Uzès market, and fell in love with the wineries in the area! Do yourself a favor: contact 445 Cycling and ask for the Uzès Breakaway tour. Once you 445 once, you’ll 445 over and over……just like me!!! I've ridden with 445 Cycling 3 times, and I'm not done yet!! Amazing experience!

Would give 6 stars if possible To celebrate a very good friends’ 50th, I thought up of 2 cycling challenges that were worthy of such an event, joining the Club Des Cingles Mount Ventoux aka Ventoux triple and a leisurely climb up Alpe D’ Huez. While there were MULTIPLE tour companies which offered the two trips separately, only 44/5 Cycling Tours was agreeable to custom make this dream vacation happen. I reached out to them over a year in advance, and Gerry and John understood that we really wanted a once in a lifetime cycling experience. They were there in every step of the planning process. Gerry created a custom daily itinerary which included 6 rides that would give us the saddle time we wanted, but also enough time to go visit the local towns and beautiful countryside. In addition, Gerry gave us many options with local hotels and even contacted the local bike shop to coordinate the logistics of re-assembling and re packing our bikes. The hotel they recommended was exceptional. The owner literally gave us the best 2 suites in his hotel because of his relationship with 44/5 Cycling tours. I would like to point out on the day that we arrived, and before we even met Gerry or John for our first ride, we walked around Malaucene and Bedoin. We walked into several bike related stores, and when I mentioned that I was on a 44/5 cycling tour, multiple store owners spoke very highly of both of them and one shop owner even stated “Your in great hands….” As for the rides, John and Gerry have been riding on these back roads around Mt. Ventoux for over ten plus years and it seemed as if they had every road memorized. They had intimate knowledge of where to go depending on how hard we wanted to ride. Each day we did a different loop always stopping for great photo opportunities and at a café halfway in. Gerry successfully supported us up Mount Ventoux three times and we completed the cingles challenge in good time. Gerry also drove us over 3 hours to Alpe D’ Huez. were we were able to climb at our own pace while enjoying the breathtaking views. Our cycling experience was truly once in a lifetime experience and when you plan something like this, you entrust your dreams to the tour operators in hopes of making your dream a reality. While I don’t believe Santa Clause can make my dreams come true, I know Gerry and John at 44/5 Cycling Tours did.

We spent a week cycling classic climbs in the Dolomites. John and Gerry, along with our local guide Andrea put together an unforgettable trip. The Stelvio, Mortorolo, Gavia were only three of many. The routes were beautiful and the food fantastic, but I really return year after year because of the unfailing good cheer of our guides. This is my third tour with 44-5. I can't wait to see what they come up with for next year.

Just back from a fabulous cycling holiday in the alps with guiding and support from John of 44-5 Cycling Tours (Gerry was with another group in Italy I believe). We were a small group of adults and teenagers keen to tick off a bunch of the really big climbs and John got us all up and down again happy and safe. The guy is true gent - super friendly and helpful, always there with a fresh bottle or a bar/gel and encouragement and also taking lots of photos so you can concentrate on pushing those pedals. He has great language skills and local knowledge (restaurants and routes) and of course is also a mad keen cyclist with the technical skills which are inevitably needed on the road sometimes (was very quick changing a snapped chain for one of our group). I definitely recommend 44-5 Cycing tours. If you want to make your cycling fantasies reality these guys can make it happen.
