Of course you should go here it is great and good vibe and from here you can explore the small town centre that is so small and within walking distance. Also the tourist information is worth a visit for a map and nice people to suggest what to do.

"You will almost certainly cross Place de la Comedie during your Montpellier stay. It is one stop away from the main train station and a 3 minute walk to the shopping mall Polygone, where you can find almost anything. Be aware of street crooks. Men, usually teenagers of ethnic descent roam the square and nearby streets asking you to sign... More

A much needed revisit. Now with family. Still an amazing and wonderful place. We walked from the aquaduct to Place de la Comedie, to the park at the end, and back through the narrow streets of Montpellier. A very charismatic town. You really need more than a day here!!!

There are bigger public areas in Lyon and Toulouse. Not much here except restaurants for tourists, street performers and the opera house.

Take a cafe seat in the shade, have a cold beer and order some wonderful French cuisine while the show unfolds. Watching humans go about their business can be an illuminating pastime and what better place to be a spectator than in the Place de la Comedie located right in the cultural heart of Montpellier. Whether you come by foot,... More

The center square of the town is nice place to go for a dinner for example. In the evening it's beautiful with all the lights. Nevertheless it's just a town square with restaurants and a carousel.

Central town square in Montpellier, not specifically worth a visit as it is just the central point of the town, although it is where the local theatre is located. There are a good mix of shops and restaurants/bars in the surrounding area as well as a good tram stop!

Just have a casual stroll after eating a big dinner. The place is spacious and not overly crowded. Nice place to experience the hustle and bustle of Montpellier. When you love photography evening visit is definitely the best time. But I don't recommend drinking in the bars by the square because one will just be very disappointed. We don't normally... More
