Excellent area I parked the car there as we were staying in the old town. Very lively area There was a music festival on and it was surely very busy. All folk were drinking and having a great time

Like so much of France it is grubby and more than a little shabby. Such a shame when the potential is for something lovely.

All visitors in Montpellier probably arrive here several times during their stay because it's so central. Very chick buildings around the Square, though the terraces and restaurants do not match with the Square. However, nice to watch in a table relaxing and see the world go By.

Great place to people watch or just relax at one of the many bars/restaurants/ice cream shops. Very pretty and the centre of montpellier. It's the focal point to spread out over the rest of this beautiful city. A must see.

This is a lovely big space with lots of cafe and interesting streets off it. Leading to a great shopping area. Also a good spot to get the Tram. For little children there is a traditional carousel.

A bit expensive restaurants but good atmosphere. I would recommend to find a place to eat which is a little longer up the main street to find the less touristic places. A pretty place nevertheless - impossible not to cross it

Very busy and full of tourists but thankfully car free. We took the petit train for a tour of Montpellier and had lunch of the main square. The tourist information centre is based here too. Some market stalls selling generic t-shirts and bags and a nice park just off one end where festivals take place (and offer some shade) with... More
