The Best of Collioure
Oct 2019
Stroll all the streets, do some shopping and eating, then climb the hill and stroll through some more streets. One of the prettiest towns in France, cute little houses painted in lovely pastels.

Quaint town with shops and restaurants
Oct 2019 • Couples
Perhaps it could be compared to St Ives in Cornwall with its narrow streets full of shops, restaurants and also, in one area art studios and galleries.

A delightful town to explore and relax in.

Great stroll
Oct 2019 • Friends
We strolled through the area yesterday. Great shops. Bought some nougat. Delish. Went into a sausage shop, tasted several, and bought some for our evening appetizers. We saw beautiful spices, local honey and other foods. There are clothing shops, gift shops, bars and restaurants. An enjoyable afternoon.

Lovely picturesque old town with colourful houses
Aug 2019
We arrived in Collioure by boat from Argeles-sur-Mer on a very hot summers day. Collioure was packed with tourists, but we found once we wandered away from the beach, harbour and restaurants into the old town area of Moure the crowds vanished and there was some shade from the heat.

The narrow steep roads and colourful houses were all very picturesque; we could have much longer wondering around and visiting some of the artist shops / studios –but our time was too limited by the time of our return boat journey.

Gorgeous

We spent a few hours wandering around here soaking up the atmosphere, checking out the lovely shops and enjoying icecreams. So glad we visited before it gets busy...it would ruin its charm.

Heaven

Coming from England, a country without colour I am always drawn to places abroad that are.

Here the narrow street cross cross the hillside with their tiny shops and bars. A great place to explore, away from the harbour.

Beautiful quartier to enjoy at any moment
Jul 2018 • Family
A very nice quartier made of narrow streets that allow you to enjoy at any moment of the day. Probably the best moment is late in the afternoon when it is illuminated with the shops lights

Beautiful streets but get up early to enjoy
Aug 2018 • Family
Our family tried to go to Collioure for the day and arrived to find absolutely nowhere to park - it seemed to be heaving. Having a baby with us, parking out of town and walking in the 30+ degree heat was not an option so we aborted the plan.

We tried again a few days later but got there just before 9am. I highly recommend this. We got really central parking and got to walk around the streets as all the shops were opening up. The streets are beautiful. We then enjoyed a coffee and croissant on the waterfront - superb croissant from Boulangerie Patisserie St Vincent, just up from the water. You're right on the beach so if you fancy getting in the water you can, otherwise you can sit back a enjoy watching early morning swimmers and paddle boarder in the bay.

It made me want to go back for more. We are now planning a stay in the town as I want to see the same streets and restaurants in the evening!

Definitely worth a stop! But beware of parking/navette organisation!
Aug 2018 • Couples
A gorgeous little seaside village with little laneways filled with artists/galleries and brick a brac.
Super busy with tourists, but you can avoid the crowds by taking the little back laneways.
Here you will find a mix of speciality shops anchovies in all shapes, sizes and marinades ;) and wine tasting opportunities for colliure and banylus(sweet wine).

*note for parking*
There are several parking stations 10-30mns out of the village where some offer free minibus rides to the town, but beware, it wasn't the most efficient system with not enough buses vs people. So many had to walk (steep hills on way back!!). It was taking 45mns-1hr to get into the village with the navette which was a bit of a waste of time considering we just wanted to stop quickly and have a bite to eat.

Suggest trying to find a place in the town itself at first and if not possible, P5 is the closest parking station.
