There's so much to see here. A real adventure for children and a place to let imaginations run riot both young and old. We had great fun clambering around the dungeons and the dark underground passages before coming back out into the bright sunlight, blinking as if we'd been down there for years. You can walk along the walls, admiring... More

This is an impressive historical chateau fortress built in 1200's. Well restored and still a " working" fort for the French military and naval services. You can see these young recruits training at times as they embark onto ribs and launches from the subterranean entrance near the foot bridge at the castle. We decided to do the visitors tour of... A nice change if you don't want to sunbathe on the pebble beach. Inside they had an exhibition and the views from the castle are breathtaking.

Wow - €2 per person for a spectacular tour of this lovely old site with tremendous views from many different angles overlooking Collioure, and the surrounding hills. Not to be missed!

2€ is not a big price to pay for getting out of a torrential storm. This place will not be blown over like all the parasols in the bars nearby! ;-) It's like "oh look - we're in another empty room of a medieval castle". You will be treated to lovely views from the outside places of this Fort but... More

Pretty castle at the water front. This feature gives Collioure it's character and is one of the reasons it attracts so many visitors. At some point you will wall walk along the harbour front passed this old and imposing building.

Beautifull fortress (entry fee 2 euros) inside nothing much to see apart from the building itself and its amazing views on coulioure!

Big in size, it remains along one side of the port, with the beach at the end, or at the beginning, depending on the point of view.
