This is a relatively small collection compared to some places I've been, but none the worse for that. You are not overwhelmed by masses of pictures and left wondering if you've missed something. It's well laid out in sections - modern/20th century, 19th C, and...More

Do not miss this wonderful museum of fine arts - free entry and art that is truly stunning. Majority of work is traditional art - but there are some modern pieces on the ground floor. However, the majority of the collection is on the first...More

Free admission. Lockers for your possessions. No great masters here at all, but still a small interesting collection. Very little apart from the paintings.

For a relatively small museum in a provincial town, the collection of paintings was impressive. Most of the paintings were from the regional artists. Some of the portraits ( oil on Canvass ) were superb. To my surprise all the paintings were not of religious...More

An interesting exhibition of local artists. I particularly focused on paintings linked with the history of Carcassone.

Well worth a visit if you are in Carcassonne. We are frequent visitors to the city and somehow always missed opening time! Today we visited and had a very good experience. As other reviewers have mentioned, it isn't big but nevertheless holds a good range...More

A beautiful wee collection of fine art including sculpture and painting. Definitely worth spending an hour or three wandering amongst the paintings. Friendly staff, you're allowed to take pictures and free entry make this a must see in Carcassonne
