About
Vins & Vinos is a boutique wine shop and Wine Tour situated in the heart of the Bastide of Carcassonne. We are a family of wine enthusiasts and experts wishing to give people an opportunity to taste the wine of the Languedoc and Roussillon as well as to learn about what makes this region so special and unique in terms of viticulture. We provide free wine tastings of over 30 wines at any one time ranging from 5€ to 50€ and offer a selection 200 wines to buy directly.
We also run tailor-made wine tours - Languedoc Vineyard Tours - throughout the year. Our tours are all full day tours leaving from and returning to Carcassonne. We can collect guests from their hotels and B&Bs within 10km radius of Carcassonne, or if on route. Numbers are limited to minimum of two and maximum of 6 per tour. Our unique relationship with wineries gets you unrivalled access to the best producers of the region with our experts and to taste and discover the best wines and food of the Languedoc.

Absolutely fabulous experience. We were in the area for a wedding and decided to do a bit of exploring as we headed back to Barcelona. Alex was a delightful host and the wines he chose to share were unique and delicious. The local bread and cheeses were stellar accompaniments. The details about local wineries as well as the history and geological facets were helpful and fascinating. A definite MUST DO while in the Carcassonne area

Thoroughly enjoyed wine tasting with Alex at Vins & Vinos in Carcassonne. Alex made the wine tasting both informative and fun. The selection of breads, cheeses, charcuterie and homemade hummus was excellent! The wines were great, unfortunately only had enough spare baggage allowance for the flight home to allow for one bottle!! Definitely would recommend.

We enjoyed our visit to Vins & Vinos in Carcassonne. Alex was very knowledgable about the wines from the Languedoc region and we enjoyed learning how to properly “taste” 8 different wines. (sparkling, White & Red). The wines were complimented by delicious Breads, Cheese's, cold meats etc.

An excellent afternoon of wine tasting with a host whose knowledge of wine and wine-making was encyclopaedic. Lovely informal atmosphere as we tried a wide variety of wines which extended us towards some wines we otherwise would not consider. Recommended.

What a great way to spend an afternoon.
The host was amazing and so knowledgeable. Tasted so many wines and learned so much and found it so interesting. Would definitely recommend .

This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Carcassone. Barnaby’s presentation was lively and informative. We learned a great deal about the wines in the Carcassone region and wine making in general. We really appreciated the delicious cheeses and bread that accompanied the tasting. Definitely a highlight of our stay.

A fun and informative way to pass a couple of hours, with lots of information and a good selection of local wines to try. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and it was a good mix of people. We also bought a couple of bottles to drink on our trip and they were delightful!

Excellent and diverse selection of tasting wines presented in an informative and engaging manner. Different regions and methodology were explored and discussed in a relaxed and inclusive environment. We very much enjoyed the experience and the generous bread, cheese and charcuterie platter.

We met recently with Alex at his shop near Place Carnot, Carcassonne. We could not do a vinyard tour; we did not have the time or a car. We booked with Alex in the morning and met that same late afternoon. He pulled the blinds and locked the door to the shop. We felt special. We tasted many wines while listening to him talk about a subect he loves, with hors d'oervres. It was informative and a wonderful 2 hours. I would highly recommend Alex and Vin et Vinos.
