Visited Aigues-Mortes yesterday, what an interesting place. You are struck by the walls of the structure, the towers and ramparts. Inside these walls is a bustling inhabited town. Rows of houses with beautiful window boxes. Lots of lovely shops, I bought some cotton and linen...More

A lovely mediaeval town with complete original walls. You can walk along the walls for €8 and this would be interesting. Sadly we visited in mid-August when the rest of Europe decided to be there as well. It was very hot and with such a...More

Aigues-Mortes is a small place but it's a gem of French medieval architecture and history. By not going to the Tourist Information Office first I missed a couple of sites that I was unaware of but would not have wanted to omit on my visit....More

Popped into the tourism office to obtain some information on a half day tour in the Camargue. Young lady we spoke to went out of her way to contact each tour provider on our behalf. Unfortunately all were booked!

This centrally located tourist office offers an air conditioned calm from the afternoon heat. There are plenty of helpful leaflets and maps conveniently arranged.

As tourism centers can be an excellent stop to choose what you want to see, where you want to eat... the people here are friendly and helpful. And the information is plentiful.

That just about says it all, the staff were very helpful, but the English version guidebook was excellent with a map, walking tour and explanatory notes of the places you visit.

We received excellent information from the English speaking staff member who helped us map out a tour of things to see. Don't miss walking the ramparts. Incredible.

It's located inside the town, past the restaurants, past the tourist shops, tucked away behind more restaurants in Place St Louis. The town is commercialized to within an inch of its life. Still, if you listen carefully you can almost hear the clinking of the...More
