Ecologically friendly garden

This little park is adjacent to the Kings Potager and is charming pace for a quiet uninterrupted walk among paths, shrubs and ponds. It is very peaceful and quiet and tucked away down a long alley/driveway. It would be a lovely picnic spot on a hot day.

Its small, pleasant and quiet

I went there with my children to just relax. Theres a small pond area with ducks and what looks like a cave. You can have a picnic with no crowds or very little people around.

A quiet getaway
Sep 2016 • Couples
This smaller, but well kept park at the outer edge of Versailles, is a quiet place to rest and take a walk.

Smallest Park in Europe?
Oct 2014 • Couples
The park is so small I circumnavigated in less than ten minutes. It has a small lake attracting bird life and so quiet I was the only person in the park

Next to the King's Kitchen Garden
I had been looking forward to taking a turn around the Balbi Parc, which has a beautiful history.
The 'parc' itself is the garden of the house which previously stood here, and although the buildings are long gone, there is still the green space a little lake to enjoy.
There was a large group of youths playing football, and the grotto across the lake was near invisible because of the unkempt, tall fence surrounding the lake, and effectively cutting off half of the garden. Possibly not the best use of time if you only have a short time in Versailles.

A peaceful stop
Jan 2014 • Couples
Parc Balbi is located next to the "Potager du Roi" (the King's kitchen garden) in Versailles. Stop here for a rest after a visit to the city. This is a tranquil spot to have a sandwich and replenish your energy.
