The highlight of my trip to France. Yes there are queues and yes it is busy but set aside a day out of Paris (30 minute train trip) and absorb yourself in the opulence and the incredible history behind this amazing landmark, and you will find it is all well worth it. The gardens are magnificent as is the fountain... More

A beautiful example of the periods architecture. Started as a hunting lodge and eventually grew to become a very large palace for the aristocracy of France. Tour the interior to witness the wonder of that period. The gardens surrounding the palace have no rivals. I was lucky to observe an evening show depicting the palaces history, complete with actors and... More

Our guide was extremely informative; she knew so much and provided an amazing amount of information while we rode in complete comfort. The audio guided tour was more than enough for us, and we really got a lot out of our visit. We did visit the grounds, although on a limited basis because of the weather, but we were completely... A must go to everybody who's staying in Paris and surroundings. Get a guide to explain you all the stories and details of the place and just enjoy every minute at it. Enough said👍

Besides that building and inside is stunning architectural piece and one of the main tourist attraction spots in France I was surprised that sculptures were covered in sunny warm day, gardens were in bad shape and you could even spot in fountains dead birds. And I am still surprised, that there is official scam office after so many years, that... More

Absolutely must see. Need lots of time, though. Put aside a whole day to experience the buildings and the gardens.

Versailles is absolutely stunning once you actually get in. Please be aware of the queue system. Make sure you buy your tickets before you join the queue, which is very painfully slow!!! Get there early!! Inside the palace it is very opulent but quite simply beautiful!! The gardens were massive but quite sparse with the monuments covered for winter, but... More

Well, doesn't matter how much you hear about it, or how many photos you've seen, this place is simply amazing, the atmosphere, it's incredibly big, you can't even see the end of it, it's totally worth your time, you can get there simply from Paris with the train, you can't miss it.
