The versailles palace is a good visit when in Paris provided you have lot of time to spare and ready to walk. The entree is free every first Sunday from Oct till March, else a ticket of 15 euros needs to be obtained. If not an art lover, paying 15 euros ticket would not be worthy for it.Once the palace is covered, then comes... It was cold but sunny...We got tickets online with audio tour included. No lines, No waiting. You need to plan your visit because to get to know the gardens will take around 2 hours along. Be prepared to walk...A LOT!!!

palace it self has it's royalty with surrounding river Sein and landscape well planned. The most beautiful garden in the world here adds the beauty to royal palace which has gold colour railings.

Not much new can be said about the Chateau - it is one of the most recognized building in the world. Nothing has changed in the 45 years between our visits, except for the security. The tour with audio guide is very interesting, There is a lot of ground to cover and after a while all the rooms tend to... More

By far my favorite place on Earth. Hands down incredible. Been here a few times and it never gets old. You should definitely make sure to come here with enough time to walk the gardens, stop to take pictures and take in the view and have a bite to eat someplace quiet and peaceful. I also recommend you come on... More

Okay the title clearly shows that something went wrong - I'll start with the positives. The gardens are fabulous! Very very pretty (oh so pretty) and inside the chateau is just astonishingly beautiful. It feels like in the movies! What a beautiful piece of French history. Bad points - It's really huge so it takes a while and we got... More

We had purchased tickets with us when we arrived, only to be told, wait in the queue, even though many in the line had to purchase tickets when they got to the entrance. The queue was about a kilometer long so we elected to buy tickets for the garden tour , allow are 6 to 8 hours for this, they... More

We had only a short time so restricted ourselves to the main palace. I would love to go back and see the rest of the estate. The main place is ornate and showy and all the other things you'd imagine. The Hall of Mirrors is stunning. Some of the State Apartments seem a little short on furniture. One thing they're... More

The Chateau is a must see. It is on a very grand scale the architecture is superb and well cared for the interior is spectacular & a audio guide tour is well worth it. The garden are unbelievably extensive. Just a fantastic place to see
