This is mainly a tour of canal area and not the gardens closer to the palace with all the sculptures. The tour guide was good and there were some nice photo opportunities but you shouldn’t do this during winter time.

The Versailles garden are beautifull and also a very good spot to try using the segway. We had Tristan as our guide for the segway tour. He was very good at giving us the instructions on how to use the segway as this was my first time. He also had very interesting facts to share about the different buildings and areas surrounding the palace.

Remember to come early, it takes about 30 minuters to walk from the station to the canals where you meet.
It was fun going by Segway and interesting to hear about the Versaille history. It is beautiful out there. I do recommend this tour.

We took the two hour tour which I would highly recommend over the one hour as it takes 15 minutes just to orient on the Segway. We had a Sunday morning tour and it was just myself, my wife and Celina our guide. We were able to cover the large grounds and be able to see many of the sights one would not be able to cover on foot as the distances are quite large. Our guide was very knowledgeable and eager to please and her English was excellent. This particular day the park was very busy with joggers and bikers but they did not cause any problems as the paths are wide although most are only dirt/gravel. It is noteworthy the tour does not go into the Versailles gardens which requires a separate entrance fee. Unlike one previous review you can get to the Segway through the park without entering the gardens and thus avoid the fee. Overall, a very fun way to see the grounds and well worth the price.

Cécilia was our guide and she is AWESOME! she was knowledgeable and tons of fun. The Segways are so easy to use and our teenage kids loved them. Thanks Cecila!!! However the tour doesn’t even include the gardens or the palace, FYI only the grounds around. For the cost I expected to go thru the gardens and/palace too.

Very quick tour (less than an hour), and didn’t include fees to enter the garden. Making it very expensive for what you got. Alternatively, you could do the full day bike tour for another $40, which includes the palace tour.

So I took this tour with a friend and the tour guide was a young college student who was so engaging and fun the entire time I was on the Segway I just had a permanent smile on my face. We were on the Segway for almost 2 hours and we went through all of the I guess forest area and grounds around the pond he pointed out several things and gave us history behind it. It was my first time on a Segway and it was so easy.

This tour was well worth it and I think the only way to really see the vast park around the Grand Canal of Versailles. Our tour guide, Baptist’s, was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a full and educational experience. Riding on the segways was fun. We could have never seen so many areas on foot. I highly recommend it.

With there being nearly 2000 acres of land to cover it would have been great to have a better map or way of contacting/ communicating with the segway tour program. We arrived early and walked maybe 2 miles and was unable to find the segway stand. Noone in the park could help us and the map given for directions gave names of structures we did not see in the park map. It was very frustrating. Needless to say we were 30 minutes late for our tour and had to forfeit, part of the tour. The group had left. Our guide Paul was great, he was young, hip...he gave us both historical facts and current events involving the estate and could answer all of our questions. It would have been awesome to have 30 more minutes.

We booked the tour as we wanted to be able to get all the way around the gardens in a couple of hours and we were not disappointed. Our guide Paul, was such a lovely young man. He gave clear instructions on how to ride the Segway and after overcoming a few nerves, we were off. It was a great way to get around the grounds and see all the different palaces built for the different members of the Royal family and their mistresses. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone. But do try and ask for Paul as your guide. He will really help you to have a fun tour.

Hello, my husband and I will be flying to Paris arriving on May 5th and leaving on Sat. the 6th. We would like to take a 1 or 2 hr Segway tour of the gardens. Since we will tour on Friday afternoon or Sat morning will there be a charge to enter the gardens? If so can we purchase these tickets through your company?
Do you have any tours that meet at your Versailles Events office on 8 rue de la Chancellerie instead of at the Grand Canal? This would be easier for us as we will be staying nearby @ the Ibis Versailles Chateau.
Is there an age limit to do the Segway tour? Could my 10year old daughter do it?
