Wonderful food tour! Exceeded everyone’s expectations!! Gordon, our guide, was very knowledgeable about food and the history of NOLA. He also had a good sense of humor and kept us entertained the entire tour. The food we sampled was excellent. We sat at most every restaurant/café and Gordon filled us in on the food we were about to taste. Went back to the 1st stop for dinner that same day!! Highly recommend!!!!

This was such a fun way to spend a few hours! Food, history, architecture and a fabulous guide - Nico was entertaining, knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We were in Paris for 5 days and this was one of my favorite experiences. Don’t hesitate - do it!

My group booked a private tour of the French Quarter. It was the way to go making it easy to fit in our schedule. Lisa was our tour guide and she was fantastic. She was friendly and knowledgable. It was great getting in popular restaurants ahead of the wait lines. We were very satisfied with our tour and would highly recommend it. Thank you Lisa!!

I'm surprised to see so many positive reviews. I guess if you have never done a food tour in another city it may be more appealing as it is a new concept. However, we have done food tours throughout Europe and this was by far the most disappointing. Our guide was very nice and was easily understood. The stops and experience were the issue. We stopped at a bakery and had a croissant that we ate outside. We then walked through the Latin Quarter and stopped at several shops where the guide went in and purchased our food. We didn't get any history as to why restaurant or shop was chosen. We felt no connection to the places selected as the tasting was done elsewhere. Once all the food was purchased we stood outside a wine store and ate the purchased food on napkins. We had cheese, pate, and a meat. Oysters were mentioned but for some reason we didn't get any. We then went to a small coffee shop and had a very small tart. For 75 euro's it seemed like a big ripoff. Prior experiences in other cities have taken us in the book door of restaurants and introduced as to the proprietors providing an immediate connection to the food and the people preparing it - typically sitting down at a table where they were already expecting us. This experience was nothing like what we have had before.

While Naomi, our tour guide was lovely and informative about general Paris sites, this food tour did not live up to the usual standards of local food tours I’ve had in other cities where you learn about the local color of the area, learn stories and legends, sit and eat meals inside of restaurants and meet the local purveyors and learn from them. We ate outside in parks and on wine barrels of local gourmet shops in the cold, with two exceptions. The foods we tasted were quite tasty, but only with the cheese course did we learn from the purveyor about how it was made through translation. We sat in a crepe shop with no explanation whatsoever and were just handed a crepe with no explanation. Food is a huge part of local culture and understanding how they impact local life is a basic expectations of a good food tour. Thank you for being a kind and gracious hostess, Naomi. Food Tours of Paris, you can do better planning and executing of your program.

Sadly, I was disappointed with this food tour. We went to a bakery with all these amazing pastries and he just got us croissants. We only sat down and ate inside for 1 of the 6 stops. Otherwise we were standing outside in the cold eating using a napkin as a plate. I specified I am vegetarian when I booked the tour and the guide wasn’t aware when I got there so I couldn’t eat at 2 of the 6 stops. I also paid for an English speaking tour but our guide spoke French the majority of the time because 2 out of the 4 people on the tour spoke French. It could’ve been a way better experience. I could’ve gone without doing this tour.

To avoid: poor history knowledge of Paris, poor food knowledge, poor English, nothing amazing with the food. In a nutshell, it's a tour at 20USD, not 70USD. For more or less the same price you have other quality tour of Paris for which I would give 5 stars. This tour is pure robbery and waste of time.

The Food Tours of Paris was everything that my husband and I had hoped it would be. Our guide, Mathieu, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Parisian food, history, and architecture. We enjoyed visiting the small, local shops while Mathieu bought food for us to sample all while we learned more about the history of this amazing area. The tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours which was perfect. I'm looking forward to another trip to Paris and an opportunity to participate in Food Tours of Paris.

Matthieu was my guide and it so happened I was the only one on the tour, so I had a delightful time with Matthieu tasting food, learning about the culture of France and some of the architectural highlights - all together a wonderful tour tasting cheeses, oysters, croissants, pastry and crepes. Well worth the money. I highly recommend it. Worth the money.
