We waited over an hour to enter and SO glad we did! Absolutely gorgeous stained glass windows! Worth it to get your tickets in advance (some hotels offer this option), it can save you a lot of time in line.

Notre Dame is one of the first places that you hear associated with Paris and it is for good reason. This was one of the highlights on my solo trip to Paris - yes you can enjoy this romantic city solo! I unfortunately did not have the time to take a full audio tour of the cathedral and I really regret this but I still enjoyed the visit. I paid the extra 10 euro to be able to go to the top and I think this is absolutely critical if you are going to come. You o have to go up and down a lot of stairs so if you are limited in mobility it won't be the tour for you but for everyone else this is simply amazing.

The views from the top are absolutely worth the climb up. You are able to see the entire city and get that panoramic shot with the Eiffel Tower that everyone so desperately wants when they come to Paris. You are also able to score up close photos with the gargoyles which was truly a highlight for me. 100% I would recommend visiting to anyone who even just has a few hours in the city.

The stained glass in St. Chapelle Cathedral is as beautiful as everyone says. Also, get tickets for the string quintet concert if you can. We heard Vivaldi's Four Seasons and it was extraordinary! Old paintings, buildings, stained glass are absolutely gorgeous! Enjoy!

This is our 3rd time visiting St. Chapelle church in the evening while attending another concert in the church. This is just a beautiful church with many, many gorgeous stained glass windows! We have enjoyed 3 different visits to Paris and have attended a concert here on each of our visits. I would highly recommend this activity and be sure to check to see what concert is happening there (I always try to hear Vivaldi's 4 Seasons because it is a favorite of mine). The Tabac located across the street from this church sells concert tickets (cash only tho)! Check this out if you are "into" beautiful stained glass and/or live concerts!

Best to go on a sunny day so you can fully appreciate the beautiful patterns and colorful glow that fill the room when the sun hits the windows. Small chapel but definitely worth a visit. There is seating at the top so you can bask in the glory of the windows. FYI you will need to go through airport-style security to get in.

This church has the most beautiful stained glass I have seen. All of the walls are stained glass and original centuries old painted decorations. It is a must see item in Paris. However, during the day, the lines are very long and slow due to the security check required to enter. In the evening, classical music concerts are given in the chapel. The music is outstanding, the setting amazing, and no long lines to contend with to get into the chapel. It is a great way to visit St. Chapelle.

I bought great pen and ink sketches with watercolor wash. They look great, and will be great gifts- selection applies to all ages.

In addition, we watched a fire juggler/ dancer and it was very entertaining. Perfect way to walk off dinner and view the Church at night.

We read many nightmarish posts about wait times at Notredame Carhedral. We got there yesterday at 8:30am. It was a saturday. There was no line. We went right after to St Chapelle. If I had to choose between the two, I would go to St Chapelle. It is much smaller but the stained glass windows are stunning. You come up a short spiral staircase of maybe 30 steps and your jaw drops. Notredame is beautiful but to me the beauty is outside more. The building is really awesome. When we walked across at around 10:30 after finishing St Chappelle, the line for Notredame was long, looked like about 60-70 people. The line for the climb to the tower was way longer. We didn't go for that. Hope this helps...
