Having recently returned from participating in Let’s Eat the World’s Culinary Vacation in Uzes, we wanted to share what an incredible experience it was. We fancy ourselves as foodies but this opened our eyes to an entirely new way of looking at the ingredients we use, how we prepare and cook and, most importantly, how we dine!

Our hosts, Chefs Eric and Dominique and the master of everything else, Yetunde, were way beyond just being “hosts” - in addition to their culinary expertise, they have the ability to convey that expertise through creative teaching and humor. In addition, they are some of the most travelled, most interesting and fascinating people you will ever encounter!

What we also loved about the week was enjoying other local and cultural pursuits, such as attending market days, wine and cheese tastings with a master sommelier, visiting an organic goat cheese farm, an organic vineyard/winery and spending time amongst Roman influences of the area with our knowledgeable hosts and delightful classmates.

The week exceeded our expectations (which were already quite high, having previously taken one of their Market Classes in Paris) and we are already looking forward to participating in another “Culinary Vacation”!

I love Cook’n with Class! The online experience with Eric seems like you are right in the kitchen with him. I especially appreciate his style of providing cultural and historical information along with substitute/alternative ingredients. You can cook along at the same time or just watch and cook later. Having participants from around the world with you adds diversity, expands on the availability of ingredients, and makes you feel like you are traveling. Yetunde prepares us with tips and recipes before classes start. The best promotion I can make is the very positive response from my family—keep these French creations coming!

Thank you Carol Ann for the review of your Cook'n With Class Experience. You've nailed it, it's like we are invited into your kitchen and you into ours. I'm glad we were able to bridge the gap that was there between us with this new form of experiencing French cuisine.

Last weekend I participated in an on-line class with Chef Eric . What fun...informative, too! We were sent the recipes for Fish in Papillote and Caleriac in Papillote. The recipes are well-written and easy to follow, but there is nothing like watching a chef actually working through all the steps. I have taken many classes at Cook'n with Class in Paris and never been disappointed, but until we can return to France again, this is a really nice alternative. I highly recommend Chef Eric's on-line classes.

If enticed by a week immersed in great food and wine coupled with the ambiance of wonderfully tasty meals prepared by you in concert with fun colleagues while learning new skills all the while hosted by a gracious and generous couple, then spend a week in Provence with Eric and Yetunde. We shopped in local markets meeting very fun purveyors of gorgeous produce, meats, seafood, cheeses, spices, etc that we turned into marvelous fare under the skilled guidance of Chef Eric. Add meeting the vintners and enjoying the vast array of affordable and delicious wines of the Languedoc. Throw in some excellent restaurants. Soak in the good life and beauty of Provence beloved by the Romans and countless generations since and you create a life changing experience. We went expecting to enhance our culinary skills in the unique surroundings of Provence and came away with all that plus new friends and an invigorated zest for cooking and enjoying the celebrated cuisine of this region. Not only was our experience delightful in all respects, but given what Eric and Yetunde offer generously in so many details, we considered our week Cookin’ with Class in Uzes a great value. Do it! You will be glad you did.

We had an experience of a lifetime. The entire week was fun, relaxed, and engaging. We cooked incredibly delicious food which we then enjoyed in delightful company of Chef Eric Fraudeau and his wife, Yetunde and other fun foodies. They made the experience like we were visiting old friends. The cooking time gave the week shape, but we did so many other interesting tours that made us fall in love with southern France.

We just did an online class with Chef Eric, cooking fish en papillote (parchment) on top of zucchini with a cream sauce. There was also a vegetarian option. Chef Eric was a wonderful teacher. They emailed us the recipes ahead of time so we could do any necessary prep before we cooked with him. Eric’s wife, Yetunde did the chat and relayed any questions to Eric to answer. The meal was delicious! We will make it again!

Several years ago we also did the French Market class at Cook’n with Class Paris. It was also wonderful. We still make the duck breast and several other recipes we learned that day.

We have signed up for the Week in Uzes (Provence) class but we have had to postpone that due to the COVID-19 situation. We hope to be able to travel to France next Spring to cook with Eric and Yetunde for a week in Provence!

Thank you, Carol, for your review! We were delighted that despite being unable to join us in-person for the Week in Uzès (which, of course, we will resume soon!), that you could join us online. See you very soon! Best regards, Chef Eric & Yetunde

The entire week was extroardinary. Enjoyed the cooking, eating, sight seeing, trips to the market and especially the picnic. Eric, Yotunde and their assistant were very professional, friendly and accomodating. Couldnt ask for a better trio.

Cook’n with Class Week in Uzes is the most immersive and unique cooking experience! Yetunde and Eric not only meet every expectation and need, but they exceed it! If you are looking for authentic French cooking technique, some of the world’s best ingredients and a veritable Mediterranean recipe box that you can actually execute, then Cook’n with Class is for you! The experience holds many visits to area landmarks, gorgeous markets, dairy farmers and wineries. My husband and I have made memories for a lifetime. Thank you!

Thank you Anita for joining us on a LET'S EAT THE WORLD Week in Uzès. While we were formerly known as Cook'n With Class Uzès, our brand has changed and we were delighted that you stuck with us to experience this fabulous Week in Uzès we created back in 2016. Same wonderful food experience, new name. :-) I look forward to seeing you on another Let's Eat The World adventure. Yetunde

Week in Uzes was a Week in Heaven. Chef Eric and his wife Yetunde made us all feel so incredibly welcome and even though we all had different levels of culinary skills, we were never made to feel incompetent. I learned so much and went on to delight my friends with delicious and amazing dishes. Since this course is geared to requests from participants and seasonal ingredients, I would repeat it in a heartbeat as it would always be different. The accommodations were lovely and authentic without being uncomfortably "posh". I give this course my absolutely highest recommendation.

We met chef Eric outside the Post Office in Uzes and drove to the market in St Quentin la Poterie to buy our ingredients. The market place is a small and intimate farmers market with excellent quality seasonal produce. We returned to the class in Uzes and met Eric's wife, the delightful Yetunde, and kitchen staff Chantal who I wanted to take home with me.

What followed was a fun, delicious, educational visit into Provencale cuisine. There were 6 of us (classes are limited to 6 which is a perfect number) with varying levels of skill or expertise in the kitchen. Experience was not necessary with new skills learnt by both novices and more seasoned cooks. I will take my tarte tatin skills back to Australia and will duplicate!

You're the best! Thank you for the review. Now you know you will need to send us a pic of your tarte tatin when you make it at home. See you again soon. Best regards, Yetunde
