Neighborhood: Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.

It was awesome to find a Latin spot in Paris ... the Prices were ok ... The whole paying for drinks in one spot and going to the bar for the actual drinks was Chaotic to say the least... The bartender couldn’t really understand, and the drink selection was very limited ... The song selection was very outdated but the food was good ... overall it was alright

We came to this place by recommendation of a french friend that told this would be awesome.

Here are a few things I and my friend experienced:

1. 16€ per person is the entrance fee with one cocktail free of charge but it's better not to claim it, go for a beer instead.

2. 2€ per item you want to secure in their wardrobe.

3. The floor is red with white decorations. Awful!!!

4. The toilettes are not recommended for anyone. There are puddles of pee all over the place. The whole restroom smells like urine. It is vomitive.

5. In the dance floor and the rest of the "bar", there is no good ventilation; so the whole place smells like 3-days unwashed underarm. The smell stinks.

6. Bouncers at the entrance told us the place was great even when we saw a lot of people going out after getting robbed with the fee mentioned before.

Pelase don't come here, Paris is s beautiful city to waste your money in this horrible place.

OK read the bad reviews and thought " well let see" Ok we opted for the 12 Euro Entry plus 2 for our coats each to go in the cloakroom for security. No issues with staff on the door or at the cloakrooms. In the UK we generally pay £7 to £12 each for a salsa evening.
going to the bar for drinks is the norm in UK so had no issues there.
The salsa teachers look good but we didnt do the classes as it was in French ;-)
We met some nice people including someone who lived in Erdington where i used to live. !!!
Good level of salsa dancers with the obligitory creepy guy ( so my lady told me ).
on the whole a good night . good tunes and good sound system. Only 1 thing that bugged me was the moving head lighting. It kept shining in my eyes so i missed a few hand hold from my lady .
On the whole a good venue. Toilets were clean and tidy.

This place used to be great and friendly, now it's posh and expensive.
There loads of other nice latino bars in Paris...

Where to start? The woman at the entrance was extremely hostile, it's a pity we didn't leave right then. We payed 14 euros each for entrance including an alcoholic beverage and were told that were not allowed to enter wearing our jackets but had to leave them in the cloakroom, paying another 2 euros each. All in all 32 euros for the two of us! For that price they could at least offer decent drinks. Yet the mojitos we got were mostly plain soda with a hint of rum and two mint leaves. As for the venue, it was shabby and decrepit. The place was half empty and judging by the people that were there that Friday evening around midnight, the club is not hip and definitely not the meeting point of Latinos. There was not much that reminded of the atmosphere of true salsa clubs. The music was the most disappointing feature, dated and without any cohesion, the corny ballads in between salsa killing any glimmer of good mood. Seriously, how is this place still open?

I would not recommend this place to anyone, very bad ambience, bad sound, worst service possible (rude bartender).

Also, the kind of people here... not the type you want to see during your vacations in Paris.
