Jonathan and Bryan were great to coordinate with in the planning of a day tour out to the Fontainebleau area and the Palace. On the big day, Jonathan arrived early and was gracious and enthusiastic to make the day a memorable one. We had a car arranged and his witty stories made the hour each way evaporate. The fun and behind the scenes commentary was interesting and noteworthy and we learned so much just hanging out during the tour and over lunch. We’d definitely book Jonathan and their team again! Merci Beaucoup!

Spent an amazing afternoon discovering le marais with Jonathan. I really enjoyed his local insights and he took me through areas I would not have discovered on my own. overall a great experience I highly recommend for anyone looking to discover the city through a local's perspective

Booked the Day to Night tour with these guys and had an awesome time. We spent the late afternoon touring around the city center and the Seine before checking out the Marais district, which is home to Paris' gay scene since the 1970's. After the walking tour portion was finished, we spent an hour bar hopping around checking out the local scene. Definitely recommend booking with the Gay Locals!

Jonathan was a great host and very accommodating, making the most out of the tour. It was a perfect mix of historical and practical information delivered with a sense of humour (and style!) A lovely insight into the city...penis pretzels and all!

Travelling solo in Paris can appear to be daunting for a woman however after my trip in March/April last year I feel absolutely at ease.

Meeting Bryan and being taken to various spots that get missed by travel blogs was a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Sipping coffee and nibbling on delicious patisserie while listening to the extremely-knowledgeable- in -most -things- French, Bryan is definitely recommended. I'm going back for more this year and am really looking forward to seeing what other sights and sounds Bryan has in store for me this time!
Bring your comfy walking shoes and a sense of humour and enjoy!

I had a wedding in Italy last summer with a million friends from Miami but wanted to venture out on my own in Paris and London but never been before. Thankfully I found this guide who became more like a friend. It was very informative, historical, and thorough but also fun, funny, and just what I needed. Being a gay man alone in Paris isn't easy so it was also great to know what scenes are for who and where in the gay district. I definitely recommend these guys and now I can't wait to go back!

All we knew was we only had an afternoon to spare and we didn't really know what we wanted to experience. We knew what we didn't want, though: standing in lines, dismal regimented tour guides spouting random data. Bryan and Craig came to our rescue, with a pre-tour free gift (via e-mail) of suggested places to go out in the Marais (where our hotel was), followed by meeting us at the hotel the next day for a four-hour walk that was equal parts history, politics, culture and humor. He isn't afraid to do the big things - he knew how to get us into Notre Dame in two or three minutes and out in under fifteen, for instance, but he's equally at home discussing the politico-historical role of Jews and/or gays in the Marais - not to mention plenty of opportunities to stop and eat. Bryan's love of Paris shines out not just in his informed discussion of what he loves about it, but also what's frustrating about the place in a way only an adopted Parisian could. Bryan is currently writing a PhD thesis on "experiential travel" and there is nobody better qualified to write it. If you want to get a sense of what it's like to be a Parisian, as we realized we did, no better than an adopted one, and no better adopted one than Bryan. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Fun intro to the Marais! I had a great walking tour, and the guide was very personable (with private tours there’s always a risk of awkward silences but everything was great!). Loved learning tidbits about architecture and figuring out the difference between different styles. Would do again with friends

The Gay Locals is a must do for those who are into their food. Paris has so many options for eating out and it can be overwhelming to work out where to go. My main priority was all things sugar, Bryan was able to point out recommendations for all meals whilst learning some history in the persuit of sweets. I would never have found some of the amazing places he took us to. Highlights included L'eclair de Genie, Chacun ses Gouts and Le loir dans la thiere.
Must do for gay, straight or bi.

We were thrilled with our choice to tour with Bryan. It was a nice view into "typical" Paris (i.e., away from all the major sights). Bryan had a deep knowledge of the history of Paris and also brought some really interesting perspectives about current day issues and culture. Of course, the stops at shops and cafes along the way didn't hurt at all :-)

This tour was a great way to get a different view of Paris and get some very interesting texture about neighborhoods off the main tour circuit. When we go back to Paris, we'll definitely be going back to Bryan!
