My husband, Chris, and I were so fortunate to stumble on this little gem on our way from our hotel to the Place du Trocadéro. I was most excited about finding delicious fresh Canelé... these are so hard to find in Los Angeles! I also purchased several (maybe too many) beautiful high quality scarves to bring back home as gifts. Chris and I spontaneously decided to buy all the makings for a great picnic: charcuterie, cheese, fresh baguette, pâté and fresh berries. We had a wonderful picnic at the Tuileries Garden and it was one of the best and most romantic moments we spent in Paris ❤️😍!
BTW, we shopped on a Wednesday morning but the market is also open on Saturdays. I highly recommend taking a stroll through this market. It's in an upscale part of Paris and you'll have plenty of sights to see once you're done shopping. If your traveling via Paris metro you'll want to get off at the Alma-Marceau exit.

Lovely market in very nice area of Paris off line 1 metro. Great food, pastries, clothes, flowers, and souvenirs. I prefer Bastille market, but definitely Marche Wilson was worth a stop.

Fresh fish, vegetables, fruit galore. Many vendors to choose from and compare quality and price. There is a man I have been buying dried herbs from for over 12 years. He has everything from herbes de Provence to saffron, nutmeg, paprika and the best French thyme. There are several excellent cheese vendors, butchers and deli places to buy olives, ready to go food as well as excellent pastas and sausages.

Plan your Saturday morning around this market. Every possible wonderful food item you can think of. Samples of fruit and fois gras and cheese are tempting. Many picturesque displays of fish and meat and vegetables. Bring your own carry sac or shopping tote. A museum on the street has a geat garden with benches for a picnic. Always keep a corkscrew in your bag for the week--I carried one into every museum in town and not one guard cared.
Pick up flowers for your hotel room as you leave. (say they are a gift and you will get a gorgeous paper and ribbon wrap.)

My wife and I always try to visit the markets in every city we visit---as they normally sell what the locals like and want. The gorgeous selection of fish, vegetables, fruit, cheese, meats and sausage made us wish we had a kitchen where we were staying so that we could really enjoy these local delicacies. They also offered cooked dishes if you arrive hungry. In addition, they had flowers---cut as well as potted. We ended up buying a number of cashmere sweaters from designer Valerie Dantan--I recommend you stop by her booth. Check out my photos for more details.

Active on Wednesday and Saturday with upscale offerings and crowds, Wilson Market is very colorful and a wonderful start to a day of Paris sightseeing. Depending upon which direction you go, it's an easy (though uphill) walk from there to either the Trocadero with great views of the Eiffel Tower or to the new Russian Orthodox church across the Seine after you finish the market.

We left this market for our last day in Paris. What a fabulous place to eat fresh fruit for breakfast. The market is only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I would suggest arriving early for the best produce. We arrived about 9.30 on a very hot day and everything still looked great. The covered walkway was very welcome in the heat. Cheap clothing, and Manchester, wonderful assortment of fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meats and the flowers were so beautiful. The stall holders didn't seem to mind that we took so many photos of things we just couldn't buy and take home.

so many different booths (flowers, meat, fish, clothes) but the best part is the food part.. you can taste a lot of excellent products, have a crepe (pancake) or fresh orange juce and spend a great time for almost half a day
