About
Merci is a place created in March 2009 in the heart of the historic district of Haut-Marais. Bernard and Marie-France Cohen, founders of BONPOINT the children's fashion label, realized that Paris lacked a place which would bring together the best of the world of fashion, of design, of household goods with welcome refreshment areas. A business established in the heart of its region and of its country, Merci has already created more than 70 permanent jobs. Merci is, moreover, very pleased to act as a developer or launch-pad to the young designers who, thanks to this sounding-board, can make themselves known to the many customers and international personalities who visit Merci. Merci is a commercial enterprise "like any other company" founded by shareholders "unlike any other shareholders". The founders decided that the proceeds of this investment would serve to fund an endowment paying for educational projects and development in south-west Madagascar. Bernard and Marie France Cohen wanted to say MERCI to life, MERCI to the talents and to the designers who made this success possible. It is this success which makes their generosity possible. In 2013, Marie-France Cohen passed on the torch The current Merci team has kept up the commitment and the founders’ original dream by contributing year on year to the foundation. Thanks to our clients who make this project possible.

If you are a fan of how to design and curate a proper concept store, then Merci is a must see. Quite frankly, I’m surprised it is not ranked higher.
The store is fronted by an amazing and intimate library cafe which opens into the main shopping area. There is fashion, digital goods, home furnishings all curated to be unlike what you’ll find in department stores and the usual boutiques. The stock evolves regularly.
If you are into design I highly recommend Merci.

I am not a shopper but I loved this store. What an amazing space, they had vintage clothes, accessories on the ground floor, inspirational furniture settings upstairs, and kitchenware in the basement. I confess, I shopped.
Don't forget the Merci cafe for a bite to eat.

Upscale and loved the design element. Fun to explore the different levels and loved the cool entrance through the coffee shop/library. I rated it a 3 star for affordability as about all we could afford was a kitchen towel. Clothing is outrageously priced even for Paris standards. A disappointment there.
It deserves a 5 star rating for being super cool.
Glad we saw it but we won’t go back.

Read about this place & thought we would be in for a treat. A bit retro, but pricey. I suppose it is with amount of staff. The glasses price was over the top. A few interesting ideas, but go to a second hand shop & get something more unique, as the things were just copies.

this place got a lot,s of hype from fashion and design magazines but it,s really disappointing the shop has nothing special located in a bad neighbourhood maybe they should open a another store near bon marches a great área of Paris real luxury and fashion. The prices are way to expensive are they any buyers at those prices most people buy the merci bag because it,s cheap. The best section of the shop in the linen section really great fabrics worth buying even if it,s too expensive. They should also put a cooler car at the entrance maybe a british or a french car.Anyway it could be a great shopping place maybe more fashion collections would be nice in the shop. The should also add a art gallery would be a nice mix between art and fashion

We loved the little Cafe and were impressed by the big and nice store in the back with a wonderful backyard and a restaurant.

At first view it's kinda nice, but when you begin to look at all the people that enters there you have the feeling that everyone is there just to show off, it's like cali...
The stuff is super expensive, but there's a lot of choice.
One time it's enough.

My oh my, we went there because we were in the area and i had heard of it (and we also wanted a dessert!). Wow prices are over the roof: 8€ for a slice of strawberry tarte or chocolate cake... 7€ for a freshly pressed juice.... Bam 30€ for 2 juices and 2 slices of cake. Taste was fine (not extraordinary), it’s just that...come on... it’s too expensive. I understand it’s trendy and part of a concept store but still...I saw the “tartines” on a neighbour table and they were ridiculously small.. really
