Overall it is a helpful way to see Paris. The buses aren’t very comfortable and sometimes not clean. They also use a fair amount of open air buses in very cold weather so beware of that.

The tour was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The huge bonus was that my small group tour ended up being a private tour! Great experience.

Black-outs happen very frequently in Paris. I would contact Paris City Vision and I am sure they can assist you on what to do to get reimbursed.

Ugh.. bus tours to MSM?! (18 Replies)
Arriving in Paris in about a week .. and bringing my 19 yr old daughter. I had asked her to do some research and come up with some things she wanted to do.. she has been once before.. but that was when she was 11. She told me her one request was to see Mont St Michel. We are on a tight time line.. I have one day in about a week.. and another day about 3 days later that would be suitable. Now, I have been to MSM.. but that was 40 years ago.. and frankly.. it seemed a lot more...More

Joanie! Have not done a tour but I say go with the flow andoî enjoy the day out....will be fun! Get some fab snacks for the pitstops ( do you have a hipflask?? ) and enjoy this amazing place. My feeling is that DD wil get more from the guided tour. Back in Paris check out a local late night address for a nice but quick meal and a glass of something rich and red ( and I ain ´t talkin ´ about raspberry juice).

Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte châteaux tour. (3 Replies)
Hi all :) Will be in Paris for 3 nights starting on July 17. Wife wants to go to Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte châteaux. Found Pariscityvision wants 75e per person to hit both of those. I have 2 teens so that would wack me for a cool 300e :( I have emailed them to see if the rate is lower for the kids. The price includes admission to both but we were going to get the museum passes anyway which covers the fee to Fontainbleau already. Being thrifty, I sugggested just taking a train to...More

The question about getting to Fontainebleau gets asked often and you can go to the general France forum and do some research and see the responses. Just a few hours ago I responded to a question about getting there so go to the general France forum and look through the first couple of pages of responses and you'll find the thread and can read it. Or do a search and you should find responses.

Marina de paris boat trip. (6 Replies)
Hi, can anyone help. I was looking to book this trip either via Viatour or Pariscityvision. For my birthday on night cruise at 9.15 with 2 children. It says on one passes the eiffel tower light show and illuminations on the other website. What is this? Also do i need to book a window seat for the best experience? Pariscityvision offers the option of birthday cake and window seats for more money...is it worth it as less wine or champagne included in this deal. Any help greatly appreciated....More

La Tour Eiffel “glitters” (lights up, illuminates) on the hour after dark. For me, I’d take a separate boat trip and see the sights (much cheaper from other companies like Verdetre des Pont Neuf or Bataux Mouche) and spend your money in a good meal at a restaurant and have your “cake” from a wonderful French patisserie rather than lash out on a boat trip, but that is a personal preference!
