What a fun tour! Despite the heat, we got to see places we never would have seen on our own. Our guide, Simon, was really engaging and charismatic and took extra special care of the kids on the tour which impressed us. He expertly navigated a small group of us around the streets, keeping us safe and hydrated with regular stops at water fountains on a very hot day. His humor, accents, and observations really set this tour apart from others I've taken.
The thing that surprised us and we felt really let the tour down was the poor condition of the bikes. Many of the bikes seemed to be very old and defective in one way or another; no kickstands, gears not working, defective brakes, buckled wheels, uncomfortable seats, and few baskets which were essential to hold water bottles etc. Seeing other bike tours in the city the bikes we were on were very poor in comparison. Simon did say new bikes were "coming soon" though, and hopefully they will be electric to help with the long hill we climbed. All in all though this was a really enjoyable tour.
