Bike backstreets of Paris

Had great time exploring off the beaten path of Paris. Our guide Sole was fun and a knowledgable Paris historian. Highly recommend this group if you want a different look at Paris.

This was a absolute awesome tour with a very knowledgeable, tour guide who made the day interesting for all. If you want to see the Palace and all that it has in it in detail then maybe this is not for you but for those who want something different in seeing all the gardens and the other palace that Marie... My 15 year old son and I did the Paris day bike tour and liked it and the way Bike About Tours worked so much that we signed up for the Versailles tour 2 days later. We were not disappointed. Great way to explore both, and what a pleasure to be on bikes after all the walking we had done.... More

We usually do a bike tour when visiting a city especially with two teenagers. We did the hidden Paris tour starting at 3pm- word of warning when booking on line it looks like you have paid but they want payment in cash when you get there. As an aside and the reason for our afternoon cycle was we took part... More

We really enjoyed this bike tour of Paris. My husband and I and our two 10-year old sons stayed in Paris for only 2 days, so we didn't have loads of time, and cycling around for 4 hours was just lovely, and meant we got to see lots. Our guide, Ian was very knowledgeable and was good at engaging the... More

We had such a lovely day in Versailles! Biking was definitely the best option to see the castle grounds and the village. We had quite a hot day and still the tour wasn't too hard. Our tour guide (and the small group) were amazing. Really loved the farmers market (got great tips from the guide) and the picnic along the... More

Versailles is massive and the best way to get around it is by bike! We met up with our lovely tour guide Alexandria at Notre Dame, took the train to Versailles and road bikes around the gardens and villages. The bike ride was easy although I was tired by the end of the day. Alexandria also gave us clear instructions... More

Most tourists start visiting Versailles from the palace. Then they are too tired to see the real thing. Yes, the palace is impressive (don't miss it after you bike) But what a joy to be at organic farmers market! Bike through shaded gardens, listen to history through fun stories and don't think how to plan this day. Mark, our guide... More

We booked this bike tour partially to see Versailles, and partially to get out of the city and bike in a french village. Both exceeded our expectations. The tour logistically runs very easily. Alexandra managed the group with relaxed ease and friendly chatter. She pointed out the better places in the farmers market, made it a personal tour in that... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
