They have a great selection of beers all super good. The food it’s okay. The service not that good.
We don’t speak French and the menu was not that clear, also the server didn’t speak English so we got the wrong order and then had to wait longer to the get right one, the server was not happy at all.

Go here if you love mussels! The beer is over priced but you get a huge bowl of mussels for 8 euros or an even bigger one for 10.

first visit was at midnight and they had stopped serving mussels! but upon requesting since we were visiting Paris and heard so much they were kind enough to oblige!

it was worth it! each bite was sensational and making the taste buds super pleased ;) best flavours and recommended were the blue cheese and mustard...yum yum yum!

last night in PAris was again spent here indulging!! a definite recommendation for all...great selection of drinks to accomodate as well!

I like a rustic place and I like beer very much, so Academie de la Biere was about the perfect choice for me. The beer meny there was by far the widest I have ever seen and with a focus on Belgian beer it made it even better! We had only a few days in Paris but if we would have had more time I would have returned for sure. I liked my sausages much too, but my fellow travellers were not very impressed by their beef. I thought I could read on the meny on the web that I would get a good horse fillet here, but couldn't find such on the meny in the restaurant. Which reminds me of the fact that the webpage would be nice in English too. Anyhow, if you're in Paris and you like quality beer then don't miss Academie de la Biere!

Waiters were rushed off their feet on theTuesday night we went. Hate to see it in tourist season! They were very pleasant and 'covered' each other's tables. I had the mussels in beer sauce to try them but should have had the wine sauce on reflection. Mussels themselves were good and plentiful. Beers were great. I'm doing a Beer Tour Of The World at present (began in April 2011 and still underway) and the offerings here were a useful addition. We struck up a conversation with the two young French chaps from Amien who'd both found good jobs in Paris and had a great time. A "must visit" but get there early!

About twelve taps, hundred bottles or so. Great bartender the night i was there. US classic rock playing. A few classic concert posters behind the bar. OK atmosphere. No american craft beer though.

i dont know if beer and mussels are supposed to go together, but it worked out perfectly for me. the selection of beer is awesome! there are quite a few types of steamed mussels to choose from - i had the wine steamed mussels and loved them. they were a decent size the bowl was almost overflowing there were so many. my friend had a cheese platter with a great selection. the staff is super friendly and accommodating, which isn't commonplace in paris. id highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxed, pub-type atmosphere.

What a great local pub with good food and a wonderful beer selection. We were able to relax the way the locals do and enjoy the food and have a great conversation. It is very easy to get to with the Metro (the metro is just a block away). They have mussles prepared several different ways and they were.......DELICIOUS and fresh. I would recommend this to anyone in the area or just someone ready to leave the touristy places and mingle with the locals. The prices were very reasonable too.
