Founded in 1998 as the result of an alliance between RATP Développement and PARISCityVISION, L’OpenTour Paris was the first to introduce the concept of a regular tourist line with open-top double-decker buses in France. L’OpenTour forms part of the Tourism and Leisure sector in Paris proper and offers a commented tour on board open-top double-decker buses. Since it was founded, the L’OpenTour network in Paris has gradually been expanded to meet customers expectations by giving them more freedom. Today it offers 4 routes and a fleet of 36 buses. Its lines were meticulously planned to serve not only the main highlights of the capital, but also to offer its users a frequent transport service with 50 stops. All buses are equipped with automatic ticket machines and audio guides with commentaries in 10 languages for adults and 3 languages for children. The principle is simple: buy a pass for 1, 2 or 3 days to access all 4 routes, and hop on and off whenever you want at any of the 50 stops. L’Open Tour Paris currently offers its customers a wide range of products to meet different user profiles. In view of the complexities in peak tourist seasons, the offer of services sold on board has been simplified and cut down to 5 basic products (bus pass, bus + boat, bus + city lights, bus + Louvre, and Disneyland Paris). However, at the L’OpenTour shop at 13, rue Auber 75009 Paris, customers can find all the necessary information and tickets to make their visit a success. Since June 2015, L’Open Tour is 100% owned by RATP Development a subsidiary of RATP Group established in 2002 to export the group’s operations and maintenance know-how outside the historical network of urban transportation operated by RATP in the Paris region. Currently, RATP Dev is one of the few public transport operators in the world to boast know-how and experience in sightseeing through four subsidiaries: L’Open Tour Paris, Open Loop in New York, The Original Tour of London and Bath Bus Company in the United Kingdom. In order to establish a common brand to different cities, the Extrapolitan brand was created. Extrapolitan is the official global network of hop-on hop-off city tours by RATP Group, the fifth largest urban transport operator in the world.

On our 2nd visit to Paris decided to take the Hop-on-hop-off instead of the simple, well organised Metro. The tour starts at 10am, our starting point was Montparnasse but the stop was very difficult to find and was away from the metro. The tour is...More

I don't usually write reviews, but this was the worst hop on hop of experience I have ever had. This is a poorly disorganized company. Taking a hop on hop off bus should be easy and stress free, not with this company. This was a...More

Bus ok, Boat not. Once on the buses, they are a great service. The commentary was a bit disorganised with massive gaps with no information and then two commentators talking over each other. Please update your instructions from expedia though - you exchange your voucher...More

We took a 2 day ticket. Looking back I recommend going for at least the 2 day ticket. There is so much to see and traffic in Paris so congested that one day is a little tight to get around. After that we continued using...More

It was a decent bus tour to see what's where. Wanted a two day non consecutive ticket but you have to get two consecutive days. Strongly recommend you take a boat to to see where you might want to go first. We only got off...More

Very little commentary and mostly play filler music. Having done a Paris bus tour earlier, the limited commentary was a big let down. Also the frequency is very poor especially in the evenings. We saw so many of the brown big buses pass by whilst...More

Open top tours are great way to see the sites and take your time doing it. The buses ran very often so it was very easy to hop on and off. The drivers were helpful if you ask them questions. It was easy to buy...More

We weren't planning on doing much on/off, more a guided tour of the city. I think the audio failed to engage us and as it was a hot day, we were happy to finally get off. Also too much time spent waiting a the Eiffel...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in

I am not sure you would be able to get anyone on the phone from L'Open. They most likely won't respond to an email. If you bought the tickets thru Expedia, they would be the best to contact. Let us know...
