Smallish museum, but impressive collection beautifully displayed in cases, allowing for easy viewing. Note the outside of the building with scars from historic battles. This appears to be a working research museum, therefore, no gift shop. The kids loved this collection. We were especially impressed...More

If you love crystals and mineral you have to visit this museum, even if you don't it is a great place to learn more. Ask for directions so you don't get lost - helpful staff.

The collection is one of the top five in the world: stones, gems, fossils, meterorites of all shapes and sizes housed in an elegants building right next to the Jardin de Luxembourg, part of the University.

Spent about an hour getting to this museum then discovered it was closed during the entire Christmas holiday. Maybe this was stated on the web-site, but I didn't see it.
