Time of year
This is one of my favorite residential areas of Paris, a bit out of the way, but that is one of the reasons why it is so charming. Quiet and full of small pleasant buildings. Take a walking tour to learn about the special qualities.
Beautiful and serene neighborhood in Paris, quiet, tree lined streets with inviting cafes few minutes walking distance from Sacre Coeur.
It's not in the center of Paris, and there are no great museums or monuments here, but Butte Aux Cailles is a lovely village in the city, a lovely residential area with some cool cafes and restaurants, easy to get to on the Metro. Take a stroll and look for the street art.
Off the beaten path, but not too much, as this area has been discovered. It's a great place to stroll and enjoy the village atmosphere and look at restaurant menus. Stop for a coffee. Really lovely area.
I love to stroll through this part of town, looking at the buildings and checking out the cafes and restaurants. it has become discovered and is now gentrified, but once was where the workers lived. Very quiet and peaceful, sort of a village in the city.
