Just at the western tip of Cite where Seine splits in two around the isle is this cozy tiny park. The place is so picturesque, offering teriffic views over Seine and rest of Paris that many locals also visit it. Bring some snacks and a drink to fully enjoy it.

If you want to get the feeling for "love" in the air, this is the spot in Paris. First, grab a blanket, a bottle of wine and picknik dinner from your local bakery then head to this park at around 7pm. We were there Saturday night. Locals sit on the walls drinking smoking and socializing. Super fun and many super friendly families. It's not the cleanest nor was it wheelchair accessible. Elevator was not working the day we went. But WOW, young and old couples a like were out in force showing affection for each other and the city they love. You could fell it in the air and it was infectious. Watched the sun set on the city was beautiful. This is why I have come to love Paris.

Walking over the Pont Neuf from the left bank of the River Seine, we passed behind the equestrian statue of Henry IV and climbed down the steps to the square du Vert Galent below to book a night river tour of the city. This pretty little square-park is located on the very western tip of the Ile de la Cite, is one of three on the Island, and often becomes flooded during winter storms when the river runs high. Check out the lover’s lock collection, if you wish to add to it there are usually venders nearby. TIP: This is the perfect place to have a pick nick on a summers afternoon while sitting under the willow trees and watching the world float by.

This small island is the perfect spot to sit and just enjoy being in Paris. Weather permitting of course. The weather during my visit in July was brilliant. Warm evenings with spectacular sunsets and hot dry days. There are some cool, shaded areas at the top of the square underneath the willow trees. The left side looking toward the tip provides stunning views along the Seine as the sun goes down. The most amazing setting for some al fresco sun downers. Add to all this is the spot where the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar’s was burned at the stake. To the memory of Jacques De Molay and the other worthy knights. A nod to the significance of Friday the 13th and the fate of those who committed De Molay to the flames not living to see the year out. Top spot historically and beauty.
