If you have been roaming in the city the whole day and miss a spot in the nature to relax, go to this parc. It's nice with a lac and some animals. The parc is big so you can even have a picnic with your friends/ family or just have a nap by yourself.

Large area, similar to Parc Monceau, but much more meandering. The lake is practically green due to the mossy underlayer and also because of the surrounding trees. It is not a quiet place, and full of life and children and joggers, much like a mini Bois de Bologne. The Village Peupliers, a stone's throw form the Parc is a must... More

This is a lovely parc in the romantic style. It is not huge, but it has charm. the lake and the fake cascade are beautiful. there is an upmarket restaurant with view on the park. It is great for a sunday walk, sitting and relaxing. many family and locals. There is the Paris meridian stone. A fun curiosity.

This park is on the verge of Paris city so you can still take advantage of the normal underground ticket, unlike Parc de Sceaux you would need a ticket for Paris region (but both are very cheap). The highlight is definitely the black swans! There are also a few food places inside but the price is a bit steep.

This is my go to park. As all the other reviewers have said it really is lovely and the gardeners are always at work even at weekends, weeding, sweeping, cleaning etc! Nice for kids to run and play, great for running and the more relaxed chilling out, meandering and having some brain off time!

We went there Sunday morning to run -- after days of sitting on trains and such. What a diverse group of people we found there also running! It's a good route around the circumstance of the park. There are also good up and down parts to keep in shape! Since running on the streets of Paris are not ideal, we... More

As a nature lover I really enjoyed this park! Will definitely come by more often. Even in winter there are flowers blooming and birds paddling in the lake. Definitely a place to go to if you want a calm, peaceful retreat from busy Paris.

Montsouris is wonderful any time of year. I've been coming here for decades, and today, on a bright, sunny December day there were the black swans swimming in the pond, people reading, other people jogging, and the beautiful trees and verdant grass. On weekends, in good weather, it is a splendid place for children. There is a playground, a merry-go-round,... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
