The area
Address
Neighborhood: Opéra / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Went to the 'Great British American Comedy Night'. Really good fun, friendly atmosphere with 5 different comics and a host. Each had a different style so something for everyone. It's in this really cute attic of the theatre, so feels quite intimate. The comics interacted with the audience and it was great fun. Make sure you stay for late night laughs afterwards, where the audience becomes part of the act!

Attended the New York Comedy Night, the line-up was great. The energy was great and the momentum was maintained throughout the show.

A really good laugh!

As a French girl living in the UK, I can weirdly relate to most of their experiences (the other way round) and I loved it! Different acts, different humours...one big laugh!

A great show, and more!

A nice bunch of stand up comedians who in turns crack great jokes. There are for all tastes. The icing on the cake, you can talk with them after the show and mix with the audience: French, expacts, curious persons. Plus the entry fee includes a drink.... Who wouldbhesitate to go?

It was a great show, great variety of acts from different countries, and the energy stayed high start to finish. There were some really funny people, had me laughing about a few of those jokes long after I left!

They made my day! I laughed so hard, my cheeks were hurting. Really!
Definitely a must-see... they totally understood France and French people, and it's good to laugh at them (yup, I'm French). Go go go!!

A great night out in Paris!
Jul 2015 • Friends
This was a really fun night out, stand up comedy the way it should be: quick, caustic and very funny.
The MC for the night (Tom Morton) was on great form, full of energy and sarcasm. The 5 acts he brought on were a mixture of nationalities (French, American, Dutch) and styles but overall all were very good.
Everything is in English, drinks are cheap, venue is central - great start to a fun night in Paris!

Only hints of humour came from the host Paul Taylor who should ask for his job back at Apple. Don't go life is too short

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your time at the Great British American Comedy Night when you visited us in July. Obviously, comedy is a very subjective thing, and any audience member has the right to not find an act entertaining, but given that the Great British American Comedy Night offers a different line up every week, we do feel your comment's vitriolic nature is a little unwarranted to say the least. We always welcome constructive criticism when it is offered in good spirit, but that is regrettably not where this review is coming from. Should you wish to visit us once more in order to form a more measured opinion of our many different acts, we would be delighted to offer you complimentary tickets. Regards, Team GBACN

Relaxed atmosphere and lots of laughs!

This was a great choice for some visiting American friends. The night hosts about 5 or so comics, it's all in English and mainly about the trials and tribulations of being British or American in Paris.....it's 10euro to get in and you get a free drink with that. We ended up staying late after the comedy and hung out and chatted to other people. It's a really nice relaxed environment and you don't feel like your going to get dragged up on stage. We all laughed so much and I'd recommend the night for sure.

"Highlight of my weekend!"
May 2015 • Friends
Having been to several comedy shows back in the U.S., I was very pleasantly surprised by this Comedy Club and The Great British/American Comedy Night! I picked up a flyer at a local bookstore and was immediately interested in attending. The Comedy Club is situated in a cozy space with comfortable seating…perfect for enjoying an intimate show of laughs and entertainment. The staff was welcoming and accommodating for the group of eight I was with.

The line up of comedians was excellent, and they each offered different styles of comedy. I enjoyed the show's variety and the upbeat and lively energy of the atmosphere. This Saturday night made for the highlight of my weekend! If I had more time to spend in Paris, I would definitely attend more shows!
