There are a couple of Chinatowns in Paris, but the big one is in the 13th, especially on and around Les Olympiades. Some big banquet restaurants and grocery stores, a different vibe on the street, and the Olympiades housing complex needs to be checked out...More

Save yourself some time, and really, just don't go there. I was expecting lots of restaurants and shops, but shops were closed, and a choice of restaurants is poor. If you are looking for a true chinese experience, you will be dissapointed.

This Quartier Chinois might as well be called the Asian Quarter. It is loaded with Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laotian folks. They offer a variety of restaurants, and the Asian spices fill the air. We got there by Metro, a fairly long ride. In the...More

This place is interesting, but no so authentic as you would expect it to be. I would rather like to see a small town in a city, like they always tell about Chinatown. However, there is a market nearby, that is a curious place.

From avenue Choisy to avenue Ivry, enjoy more than 40 asian restaurants such as chinese, vietnamese or lao ones. Also big asian supermarkets such as well known Tang Frères or Paris Store, and a french hypermarché Géant Casino. 5 all you can eat restaurants (10/20€)...More

Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a
forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses
Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian
supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere
around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses
onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not
far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly
imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve
