As a photographer I realize that visiting a new city is made much better if you have someone who knows the city, so I make contract with a local photographer. I was fortunate to find Michel Planson through Paris Photo Tours. Originally I wanted to do some night photography but it was so wet and rainy that we opted for the Covered Passages Tour. What a great experience this was. Michel not only directed us to some great locations but he also gave us some wonderful ideas where else we could photograph. He also shared some wonderful history of Paris and the places we visited. Michel also does some individual photography of tourists to capture their visit to Paris. I really recommend this service from a great photographer. It really made our trip to Paris much more enjoyable in spite of the rain.

Despite technical difficulties which were purely our fault and cold related, we had a great morning with David. After reading other reviews (after booking) I was a bit nervous but we found David to be really friendly and appreciated that he was able to show us parts of Paris that we had yet to see, even after many visits to this beautiful city. We look forward to the next time we can spend a morning with David as he is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about photography but also about the city.

I went on the night time tour with David, his knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour made for an unforgettable experience. My wife thought she was just coming along to keep me company and see Paris at night but David had other ideas and she became a photographic extra in many of the photographs! David was an excellent teacher, he really helped increase my knowledge about both the settings on my camera and how to visualise and frame a photograph. I would thoroughly recommend Paris Photo Tours. Steve

My photography tur with David was wonderful.He took us to some great photo oppurtunitiies. His technical expertise was very helpful and easy to understand. His eye for a good subject is incredible

My friend and I did the Paris photo tour with David. We had a lot of fun. David is a professional photographer. He taught us how to use our other camera settings besides Auto. My friend and I got great photos. We really enjoyed David's sense of humor, photography knowledge and taking us off the beaten path for memorable photos. His english is perfect! We really enjoyed and would recommend for anyone that loves photography at any level and a love for the beauty of Paris.

Michel Planson was our photographer and it was an absolute pleasure working with him! Easygoing, fun, professional, and of course, his photography is STUNNING! This was our first time visiting Paris, and he made it very memorable. Michel is also very responsive, the quick turnaround in getting our hi-res photos was very much appreciated as we were excited to see how they came out. Our friends and family back home were buzzing about how great the photos are, and how they felt they were right there with us! Thank you Michel! We can't wait to print and frame our photos, so we can show them off at our house!

I try to join a photo tour in most places I visit for the first time as it is a great way to learn about a city and capture some memorable photos in a short time. I joined Michel for the night tour of Paris as well as the morning tour around Montmartre and thoroughly enjoyed both tours. Michel is a knowledgable guide with a passion for street photography, so apart from taking the "postcard" type photos, Michel encourages you to capture some of the daily life of Paris, which makes for a really fun time and provides some unique memories of Paris. I highly recommend spending some time with Michel if you visit Paris.

I did the morning and night tour both taken by David. It was a great experience. David as a local photographer knows the spots to go. His technical and artistic expertise was very very useful and he is a great teacher pushing you to explore your capabilities both in exposure and composition even for an experienced photographer like myself. The tours were a highlight of my time in Paris. I can highly recommend them.. great value!

Rachel was on time for our meeting, and did an outstanding job. Very patient, very knowledgeable, very encouraging. Rachel would make sure you were happy with your shot, which is important, since photos are my main "souvenir" of a trip. Also, night time photography can be quite tricky, so I wanted to make sure I had the best possible opportunity to capture excellent "souvenirs". Paris Photo Tours provided that opportunity and did not disappoint.

My husband and I took a tour with David, April 2014. We had such a great time! David is a professional photographer and a superb teacher. He was patient, interesting and a lot of fun. We learned about night time camera settings and of course got many wonderful photos of Paris. But the highlight of the tour was meeting a kind and passionate artist-thanks David! A must tour for photography lovers!
