Hi. Casual, comfortable clothes. I think closed shoes would be best because of the equipment used but I don remember if it was required.

Cooking Class (16 Replies)
I'm considering a cooking class for my next trip. I've narrowed it down to La Cuisine and Le Foodist. I'd like to do the one where you shop at the market, then cook, then eat. Does the group get to choose the menu? I'm a little bit picky, I'm willing to try new things, but there are things I definitely don't like (and I'm allergic to white fish). Has anyone done a cooking class with either of these places? They look so similar, I'm not sure which to choose.

I did the market class (morning) with La Cuisine and can recommend it. The group did make the decision about what we were going to fix and it was a white fish of some sort, wasn't my choice but I`m not allergic, and enjoyed it. My advice is to let the school know that you are allergic to white fish and remind the "chef" when you are at the market. My take is that they have a pretty good idea of what they want to prepare before they get to the market, even though the group gets some input, so...More
