About Decadent Gourmet Food Tours
We offer french gourmet food tours including: chocolates, cheese, french sweets, boulangeries, farmers markets & kosher gourmets. Unlike other tasting tours in which one doesn't get to visit back kitchens at all, we actually take you inside the “laboratoires” to witness the creation process. You will also get to meet the master artisans–a very rare opportunity indeed. Ask them questions you’ve always wanted to ask. Come away with intriguing insider’s knowledge.

I took a tour with 4 other family members. Raymond was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the cheeses, chocolates, and pastries at all the stops we made. One member in our tour was a chef. He and Raymond had lots to talk about. I have a new appreciation for the kind of hard work that goes into good food.

We appreciate your kind comments, Chris! Your tour was very special for us as it marked our first tour since the Covid shutdown in 2020. Thank you for joining us in this jubilant kickoff! We are so glad you had enjoyed Raymond's guidance and sharing. Raymond also had a truly wonderful time with your group!

My wife and I took this tour in early December. We have taken a number of similar tours throughout the city but this was by far the best. Every stop along the way was our next "favorite" stop. Having the opportunity to go behind the counter at the boulangerie and see the operation in action was a highlight but there were no disappointments with any of the other places we visited. Most important however was the quality of our guide, Raymond. He made us feel like we were walking around with a close friend that knew a lot about cheese, bread, and chocolate. I cannot say I recall very much about many of our previous tours but there is very little that I will forget about this one. I lived and worked in France for a while and have carried around a bunch of questions about bread and cheese. Raymond answered all of those, most before I could even ask. Great guide. Thanks again Raymond - Liz & Brent

My daughter and I did the back kitchen gourmet tour in September. We had the most amazing tour with Raymond. We particularly liked the boulangerie/patisserie and what goes on behind the scene. Raymond is a terrific guide and is very passionate about his job. Thank you Raymond, it was a pleasure to meet you and spend time with you. A highlight of our trip! Vicki and Laura

I had the pleasure of taking a gourmet behind the scenes tour with Monsieur Raymond the first week in October and it was such fun. We visited the Nelly Julien boulangerie and sampled fabulous bread and pastries. The best part for me was being in the back of the house and seeing the actual working and process going into making these amazing baked goods. After the boulangerie and pastry shops, we visited one of the most delightful chocolatiers. There were chocolate pieces that were works of art they were so realistic and beautiful. The tastings there were so delicious. Each of us had a different favorite flavor. Mine was the dark chocolate with orange, but they were ALL delicious. We actually made a point of returning to this shop to bring back gifts for friends and family our last day in Paris. We also added on a market tour that was fun. Again talking about the markets, the fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, so many cheeses! Tasting several kinds of cheese and sausages. There was an olive vendor that we may have gone a little crazy buying so many different kinds of olives. My daughters and I ate for two days on the cheeses, meats, olives, and fruits we sampled and then purchased at the market. It was a Tuesday, which we were told is a smaller market day, not like Saturday but there were still lots of vendors. M Raymond answered our questions about different types of fish and fruits. It was marvelous. M Raymond is so knowledgeable and personably. This was truly one of our favorite experiences while in Paris.

We booked the Farmers Market and Chocolate Tour with Monsieur Raymond. We met him early in the morning and we toured the market. We started with a latte and house made tiramisu from a local vendor. Fabulous, then we proceeded to learn many things about the fruits, meats and various cheeses, such as where they where grown, processed, quality and how to differentiate one from another. Raymond asked us what we would like to sample. We tried many things. The cheese was incredible, in fact all of it was delicious and Raymond is a wealth of knowledge! Then we jumped in a taxi and went to a chocolate shop. Raymond spent time telling us a great story on how this particular chocolate shoppe came to be. Then we went on to two more shops to sample a few unique creations. I was truly impressed with this tour and the time and passion Raymond put into giving us a great experience. Highly recommend! If I could give more stars I would!
