We specifically booked a hotel near this park because we had seen pictures of the playground that we envisioned our eight-year-old loving. We arrived and found a run down mess of a playground. There was a tape closing off part of it with hazard signs...More

Often playgrounds are made for tiny kids, but this one has a play structure built for kids 8 and up. They can climb up ropes and slide down again. We have spent hours here, plying in the fountain to cool off, picnicking, and relaxing while...More

Of all the views you can have on Paris, this is the best! The weekends from May till September there are artists on the belvedere Willy Ronis. There are great bars, coffees and restaurants in the area. The park of Belleville is also very pleasant...More

I haven't heard about this park and it was a great surprise. There are different attractions, even a cinema. Great to go with children.

This park is very rundown and overran with stray cats. After the beautiful Parc des Buttes-Chaumont this is an utter disappointment.

Never mind the Eiffel Tower or the Tour Montparnasse - get a bus or metro to Belleville and stroll up to the Parc. There is a great view of Paris from a lovely park, with no tourists.

Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père
Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local
treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery,
family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between
local stores and establishments. The richness of the
population here has created a little Chinatown of
Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night
by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one
