We used Tesco club-card points to book this in advance. A nice little perk! The lift takes seconds to take you to the top of the tower where you can stay as long as you like. We stayed longer than most as we wanted to wait for the sunset and see the Eiffel Tower lights illuminate. You won't find a... More

Montparnasse observatory was recommended to us from some friends and we decided to give it a go and we a super glad we did. The 360 degrees views from the top are amazing and gives you the best view possible of the whole of paris by far. We visited one night at 9pm as the Eiffel Tower has a light... More

BEAUTIFUL Sunset from the top of the building! We can see all famous building in Paris from Montparnasse "Observatoire Panoramique" Buy your tickets online and avoid the long queue specially during the weekend. It's free for the children Under 7 years old. Try to go up before Sunset and enjoy the beautiful sky colors.

Definitely consider the Montparnasse Tower in your holiday itinerary! You take the lift up 56 floors (in 38 seconds) and are treated to a view of Paris that is next to none. My advice would be to go at night because Seeing the city lit up is stunning. Another tip: arrive just before the hour as the Eiffel Tower flashes... More

My partner suggested we pay a visit here as we had never been before and we were so glad we did. It is very reasonably priced and gives stunning views of Paris. I recommend getting the ticket that allows you to go up twice-once in the day and once in the night! It is well worth it. We were a... More

Photo below is from the outside observation deck which is very chilly during the winter. Cafe at the top is very overpriced.

View was amazing. Queued for about 15 minutes only which is great towards other paris attractions. 15 euro each. Lift up 56 floors in only 1 minutes. Ice rink and games also on top. Real pity it was foggy down by the Eiffel tower. All told we were in and out in a half an hour. Pleased we did it

We didn't stay long but there were great views of the city. A little confusing when you get there on where exactly you are supposed to go in. We used our Paris Pass here (highly recommend the Paris Pass). It wasn't super busy

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
